Hi All!

I'm throwing together a quick trip over Labor Day weekend.
Almost nothing left room wise on the 1st of Sept... so I booked the Motel 6 for a total of $227.00 for 3 nights.

Is this a good choice? I have stayed there for 1 night, about 15 years ago.... I've been on the website and it looks updated, and modern.

Just wondering if any of the Diser's have stayed here recently?

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

There are actually some better deals than that for much nicer hotels if you go to Hotwire.com. They are unnamed, so you don't know what hotel it is until you buy it, but they give you examples of what kind of hotel chain it will be, plus they tell you the area it will be in and the amenities it includes. :) We did that for our trip in October and got a 3.5 star hotel with free parking and breakfast for $399 for 7 nights!!

This one? If so, DD & spent a couple nights there in 7/10, it was fine, they do have a shuttle *we walked, DD strolled* it was a long walk for mid day breaks but when hours are shorter *10-8* we don't take mid day breaks so the walk would be fine.
$227 for 3 nights does sound high, we paid around $60 per night 4th of July weekend.

Yes, that one.
I have used Priceline in the past, and still may.
I grabbed this, in case everything gets even more sold out, most things are already sold out on the 1st of Sept, and I do not want to change in the middle of the stay... only 3 days.

It's $75.66 a night, with tax.

The Motel 6 on Disney Way is much nicer than most Motel 6's. It has an indoor lobby and gift shop. Rooms are nice.

However, as noted you maybe able to find something much nicer for the same or just a little higher. A quick glance for your weekend on hotwire shows a 3 1/2 star suite resort for $73. Best guess is that this is the Embassy Suites near Disneyland. A very nice resort. They may charge parking of around $10-15 a night so figure that in.

Also on Hotwire is a suite resort in Buena Park about 5 miles from Disneyland. It is listed at $67. I am positive this is the Radisson Suites on Beach Blvd. across from Knotts Berry Farm next door to Medieval Times. We have stayed here many times through hotwire. The rooms are 2 bedroom with 2 queens in 1 room, sleeper sofa in the other. Included is a free hot breakfast buffet with cooked to order omelets and other assorted items. Parking is free. Very quick to drive from here to Disneyland or ART shuttles are available.

The Embassy Suites in Garden Grove? Or the one further out?

I will try Hotwire, too. Thanks!
I stayed at that Radisson when it was Embassy Suites, in Buena Park, very nice hotel.

I am finding the same, so many booked on the 1st, I would call if you find something and talk with them directly. Good luck.

We are booked at the Motel 6 for the same weekend at $65.60 per night, minus taxes. We almost always stay at this motel as it answers all of our needs for a reasonable price and the rooms are very clean and updated.

How long ago did you book that, they just quoted me a different price.

Thanks

I booked it from their website on 7/9 using the code discount of cp545856 with one guest in a two queen room with a mini fridge. That reservation is currently showing at 65.69 with availability Labor Day weekend.

MrsMEERs if I may ask, where did you find that code I have been looking everywhere.

Thanks again,

Jack

I stayed at the Motel 6 on Disney Way for my solo trip in May, it was lovely. The rooms are large, beds are comfortable and it's only a 10 minute walk to the bag check. I posted pictures on my solo trip report (link in sig), but have more if you want to see more of the room. The wifi is weird, and costs about $2 a day.

Thanks!! I read your trip report, do you have any more pics of the room?
I love the towel cubby's on the website.
Reminds me of a cruise ship, with everything being so compact!
