Most underrated attraction in DL & DCA

Taking a page out of Tracers book ~ The most underrated attraction in DL & DCA is .....OK DISCUSS..

I say the hotel pool slides, since it seems the Disney hotels are the ONLY hotels in southern California that have pool slides.

I think there's more theme parks in Southern California than resort pool slides, which makes having one very unique.....and rare.....but they sure are FUN!

At DL I would say StorybookLand Canal Boats is the most underrated.

At DCA probably the Animation Studios. But with Turtle Talk there more and more people have been discovering it. Another underrated attraction at DCA is Golden Dreams. That show is quite good and fits DCA very well. But it continually gets low attendance.

Well I personally think one of the most underrated attractions in DL is Alice, but that's because it' my absolute favorite Fantasyland ride!! Also most people say to skip Casey Jr where as the kids and I really like that ride!!

In DCA, I would have to say it's the Animation Building!!

I'm seriously going to say Buzz for DL, because it's addictive, and I went around and round on that thing for about 20 mins, and getting better each time.

DCA? Probably... Monsters Inc.

The most under rated thing.... well I love the disney animation studio and would be heart broken if they did away with it.

I would probably think though that in DCA monsters Inc and the Muppets. There was hardly anyone when I went to those attractions, and im talking about peak time on weekends.

But in DL I would have to say that Winnie the Pooh is, cause the line up for that ride is ALWAYS walk on, or so it seems. Alice can be a 20 min wait or so but you never seem to wait anymore then 5 mintues for Pooh.

But I think the Ranch in Frontierland has its moments too. I never really found that area busy much, nor the story book canals.

Before they replaced it for the 50th, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln was the most underrated attraction at DL. It's always been a fantastic show, but several years ago, they made it even better with sound effects/backstory, etc. No one is ever in there! Combined with the Walt Disney display, it was always one of my favorite places to get away from the heat and the crowds. I certainly hope they bring it back!

I also love the Jungle Cruise, and I know many people think it's old and corny.

I know many love this..but it brings back bad memories for me. That darn Tiki Room......gives me an anxiety attack..can't really say why just the sound of it makes my ears hurt.

I'd say Innoventions at DL, last time we were there we really didn't know too much about it and kind of stumbled onto it. What a find, my kids could spend literally hours in there.

As for DCA, I'm not sure, I definately want to take a closer look at the animation building when we go in April.

I agree with twinmama1999 also, a lot of people don't like it but Innoventions is really great for my kids especially on a HOT day, then it's good for me too!!!

At DL I would say StorybookLand Canal Boats is the most underrated.

That was the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw this thread title, HydroGuy. There is just something so charming about this ride. It's like entering an oasis of calm in the midst of a sometimes frenetic day. And it's great to go on both day and night, when everything is lit up.

I also have to put in a pitch for the ASIMO show inside Innoventions. So many people don't know/haven't heard about it, but it's an absolutely amazing and delightful show.

For Disneyland, I agree about the Storybook ride. I love all the different plants on display in there as well as all the other details and it is very relaxing.

For DCA, the animation building is our favorite, must hit attraction, especially on a hot day. We literally sprawl on the floor and take in all the film clips. And while, most feel this very popular, I know many who have not taken the time to see the Aladdin show and it is really spectacular. Oh, and the redwood creek challenge trail will keep my kids happy for hours, I really appreciate tem setting aside a large, active area for kids in the park.

As you can tell by my listing of many DCA attractions, I tend to think most of DCA is underated and under appeciated by a lot of people. We have always enjoyed this park.

I love that the Animation studio is still undiscovered by many. It's a great place to hang out.

I have never done Golden Dreams...just added it to my list.

DL: DS loves Casey Jr. circus train. It gets over looked by many that don't have young kids. I also agree about Storybook. Although I stay away from that ride on a hot sunny day. Nothing like going slow in the direct sunlight with no breeze. Oh and the Pooh ride...it's in the way back with not much around it. I love being able to jump on it with a 5 minute wait.

DCA: Animation, ITtbaB, MI:M&SttR (same as JC)

Someone posted recently about an upstairs Gallery in NOS that I didn't know about. Will have to check it out next time.

We also want to do Innoventions again. It sounds like something right up our alley, but on our last trip we went at the end of the day. We were exhausted, the kids were overtired and wound up, ASIMO and Stitch were done for the day, and I just couldn't wait to get out of there.

My boys (ages 6 and 2) really loved Tom Sawyer Island, and ran around for at least an hour. Good way to burn off some excess energy! Of course that place will be really different when we return this fall.

We also missed the Redwood Creek Trail in DCA. Definitely will hit that next time!

Yes, you must do Redwood Creek, it is wonderful for your boys ages!!! My kids love it and it is a must do for us every trip!! Oh well, it gives you a good reason to go back! (Not that you need another one!!)
