Most stupid commercials

What about the new ones from Geico where the money they could have saved... is a stack of bills with eyeballs! That is a nightmare waiting to happen.

I can't stand the Swiffer commercials where the mop and broom keep appearing and they play the song "Baby, Come Back." D-U-M-B, dumb.

Those are two ridiculous commercials.

What I don't get is how Geico can save their customers money when they're spending so much money on advertising.

The cavemen commercials, the various lizard ones, famous people "helping" tell the story, now this stack of money with eyes--they have enough ad campaigns for several companies.

Any of the Sonic commercials with the slapping/punching sound effect. The ads are fine, it's the implication that's stupid.

On the other hand, I'm perfectly fine with the V-8 "thwack"... or at least I was, when the 'victim' was doing it to themselves. Now that they show one person hitting another person on the head...

This is an older one, but around the holidays they were playing that stupid PARTINI commercial all.the.time. Not only does the game look dull, the commercial was like nails on a chalkboard!

most of the viagra commercials, especially the one with the garage full of musicians singing the new lyrics to Viva Las Vegas. Poor Elvis is probably turning in his grave over this.

I actually love the "Rollover Minutes" family: "Those are perfectly good minutes!" They're kind of beating the joke into the ground now, but I still laugh every time.

There's some beer commercial that just starting airing where this guy is just so serious. I don't even know what beer it is, but he doesn't look like he's having fun. Who'd wanna buy his beer if it's that serious? Isn't the point of drinking beer to have fun?

I hate the insurance ads with that Flo person...especially when she has the birthday kazoo thing and ends it with "I wrote that myself" ugh. Worst spokesperson since the Del dude.

It's the one with the little girl and her mother laying on their backs on the ground, head to head. The seasons change around them while they say back and forth:

Oh! ANY commercial that takes a classic song from my youth and uses it as the focus (not the background) of the ad. "Space Oddity" being used for whatever car that is - which I would now never purchase, even if it was in my price range (which it's not) - is particularly bad.

There is a new one for Salsa where the guy is dipping his chips directly in the jar and we get to see him chewing and crunching. GROSS, GROSS, GROSS! Then the salsa level gets too low and the whole chip won't reach. This the focus of the commercial--can he figure this out?? He breaks the chip and continues on with the smaller pieces.


PUT THE SALSA IN A BOWL! How stupid is this commercial? Disgusting that he is eating right out of the jar, and I don't want to see him slobbering and chewing. And I am not overly sensitive to that stuff. But this one just skeeves me out!

Do love the rollover minutes family! And I have said before I love the Free Credit Report.com commercials. And please bring back the Gecko and dump the stupid eyeballs!
