Most Stressful Part of Planning?

Just out of curiosity, what was the most stressful part of planning your DFTW?

right now it's waiting for my coordinator to call me back. i have a bunch of questions and i'm waiting for someone to answer them for me! i sent in my contract and i got a call last week that they received it and someone would call me in 2-3 days. i waited through the holiday but when it got to over a week i finally called and spoke with someone who put me into a coordinator's voicemail. he told me that she would be mine, so hopefully she will call me back. it's just that i'm such a planner and i need to know some answers. (Does anyone know if they call back on weekends?)

You're all chomping at the bit....just like yours truly...

That's why I'm afraid I can tell you their office is closed on weekends. (that of course doesn't absolutely mean no call back, but it isn't real likely.)

As for my biggest stress during planning....

...the same reason I'm doing all this planning (that and that it's not as easy for her based on circumstances).

The fear that I'll overlook something that ruins our wedding. Can't begin to describe it.

To be fair though, I'm very early into planning a very simple (sure...and I can't imagine trying to plan a custom....no) wedding. I may develop grievances as time passes.

No doubt about it, the biggest stress has been dealing with both of our families. We have had millions of arguments over who is paying for what, who will be sitting with whom, and who will even be able to come. We had to wait 6 months to even figure out our date just to accommodate his annoying brother. The idea of even having our families in the same room is stressing me out, but then you add in all the other wedding stresses and it's insane!

I find that one of the most stressful parts is people getting back to me quickly. When I'm trying to decide something, I want instant feedback (which I know isn't possible). I understand your frustration with waiting for your coordinator to get back to you. I'm going through the same thing. But just remember how many other weddings they are coordinating.

The most stressful part of my wedding...was the three hours prior to the ceremony. My husband and I created, and set up a lot of our reception decor. About an hour before the ceremony I was busy setting up the dessert table, and my fiance was putting favors on the tables. I highly suggest getting someone else to do these things. We had helpers, but I think we could have enlisted more help.

The family for sure! It has been so stressful deciding if we wanted to do an intimate Disney wedding. We had a large wedding in Las Vegas planned for 150 and now we are doing an intimate at Disney for 16. It is crazy!

I tell everyone Orlando is a long way to travel (we are all on the west coast), but that is what we want. And I know it is going to be well worth it.

Although I haven't gotten very far in planning, I'd have to say the room block! It is an absolute nightmare to decide room nights for people who you don't even know if they are coming or not. So instead of Disney sending the save the date FIRST, they do everything backwards and require the stupid room block before you can even sign a contract.

Can anyone tell that I am working on it right now and very frustrated? argghhhh!

Also, family issues are always a problem, but I can deal with that.

Mine had to be waiting for my WP to get back to me every time I emailed her, that was a total nightmare!! I am a "I want to know now" kind of girl.. LOL
My WP told me they don't really concentrate on your wedding until your around 3 months out. True to her word she was right, I would usually get a reply to an email the same day or at least the next day when I got to that stage. The Wedding planners are on the ball and know what they are doing so don't worry your all in safe hands.

I had the same problem, only me and Steve stayed at Disney everyone else stayed at villas we had 19 nights on property so we were 6 short. I put a message on one of the forums and someone gave me their ressie number and I added that.
If you couldn't meet your room block I know they have in the past allowed you to forfit your free night and have less rooms, but that must be discussed with your WP otherwise they will charge you for the nights you are short to make up your room block.

That's what we are working on right now too! It's a mess! In fact, that's why I was asking what the most stressful part of the wedding has been for people lol. I am hoping it gets better after we get past this step because this is not a good way to start planning!

My mother/MIL......Love them both...but between my mom trying to relive her day and MIL just not understanding what was going on (seriously she never grasped the concept that the wedding was at disney) they truly did a number on my stress level…
