Most Secluded Beach?

What would be the most secluded beach to visit around the X-mas/New Years holidays?

(and by secluded, I mean.. less crowded)

At that time of the year, all of them will be less crowded. LOL

We always like the beaches down in San Clemente but I don't know if that's further south than you want to go.

There is a colony of sea lions that hang out at Carpinteria. It's a great place to be at low tide. But it is closer to Santa Barbara than LA.
