Hello!

My fiancé and I are getting married in WDW in spring 2011, and are currently trying to decide on our honeymoon - which will be for a week in WDW after the wedding.

For the wedding itself and a day or two after, we will be in the GF CL (hopefully park view if we can get it), and although this is the most luxurious resort, it doesn’t scream honeymoon at me for some reason?

What would be your suggestions for a really relaxing, romantic resort at WDW?

How about moving right next door to the Polynesian?
For such a special occasion, if you're going to be at WDW, I would highly recommend a Lagoon View Club Level room at the Polynesian. The views are wonderful and the Hawaii Bldg. is great :thumbsup2

Cool, sounds very good! :) Definitely on the list to consider! Thanks :)

I would say its a tossup between Grand Floridian and Polynesian. Both have those nice beach areas to stroll along with hammocks...especially at night where you can get a beautiful view of the fireworks display of the Magic Kingdom.

In terms of being romantic and quiet, I think your best bets are the GF, Poly and WL. Although the Bay Lake Towers might be nice for you too. The rooms look really nice.

I think the poly is great (be sure to watch Wishes from a hammock on the beach!).

Another resort that I just love and think is so romatic is Wilderness Lodge!

My honeymoon was in Bora Bora and we are celebrating our 10th at the Polynesian. We are hoping for that tropical ambiance ;)

Wow! poly is really winning! I must say though Mef78, WL does look gorgeous too!

Why do there have to be so many hotels?!?!?!

Since you're already booked for part of your stay at a MK resort, I'd move over to an Epcot Resort. A garden suite at BWI would be wonderful for a honeymoon. Also, we love the Beach Club.

At either location you're within walking distance of good restaurants, Epcot and DHS.

I am looking forward to a getaway with my boyfriend this December. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge with our daughter but I am going to try to make it as romantic as possible for the two of us.

I would go with either a garden suite at BWI or AKL. DH and I think that AKL is one of the most romantic places we have ever stayed! The atmosphere and themeing are so wonderful. It was like having two vacations - a Disney vacation and then trip to a secluded, romantic resort. We also really loved the lounge there - Victoria Falls.

One night we ordered room service for dinner and had a couples massage in the room. FABULOUS!

Wow! That sounds wonderful!!!!

I would say the Poly. It is very romantic. Nothing like laying on a hammock on the beach watching the fireworks. Also, its very romantic walking around at night with just the tiki torches burning. :goodvibes
