Most reliable way to ride Rise? (Best timeslot for LLSP?)

Rise is the only ride on my wish list. If I purchase LLSP, should I try for a time slot as early in the morning as possible so that if Rise is down during my slot, I have the rest of the day to try for it?

If Rise does break down and then starts running again, can someone give me an idea of typical lightening lanes wait times/how long the wait can balloon up to? I'm trying to figure out when I should just call it quits and move on.

We're staying on site so will have access to early entry but I'm not confident that we'll be at the front of the rope drop line. I also understand that Rise is frequently down at park opening. My plan was to rope drop slinky dog dash and buy LLSP for Rise but should I even attempt to rope drop Rise to "maximize" my chances of getting on the ride?

Rise is now more reliable that when it opened(unfortunately it means they have permanently deactivated the most problematic effects). I don't think it's common at all it being down most of the day. If you book a LLSP mid morning (use the first hour for standby lines, Slinky at rope drop is a good strategy) you'll be able to ride one way or another. If it goes down, there will be a wait, but it'll be standby that will suffer the most, they'll give much higher priority to LL.

Thank you!

My party is 2 adults + child that doesn't meet height requirement. Since the adults can't ride together anyway, does it make sense to try to book the 2 LL for the same timeslot? Or should I book them staggered (more choice for timeslots?)

Definitely book as early as possible for the very reason you said - if anything is wonky, you'll have the rest of the day for it to fix itself. I wanted to add, too, that when we were there two weeks ago, they were also using a Single Rider Lane, so if the two adults aren't riding together, that might be another option to ride without a super long line. (Or to ride a second time after using the LLSP!)

I would just book them at the same time, then you don't have to criss cross the park as much. We were able to get ours refunded as it was down a chunk of the day (April 2022) and by the time it came back online, we had to leave for dinner reservations at a resort.
