I was reading another thread and it reminded me of a t-shirt I saw in the Magic Kingdom in late August. It was a triptych, that is it had 3 squares on it with illustrations in each one. Under each of the illustrations there was writing. The first and third illustration was the same: a flying bird and the word "swallow" was under it. The middle illustration was of a poodle with the word for "female dog" under it. This shirt was worn by a teen-age boy who was accompanied by two adult men! In the Magic Kingdom no less! My husband mentioned the shirt to me after he saw the boy walk by and then I saw it myself at lunch at Pecos Bills. I couldn't contain myself and I walked up to the trio, told the teenager that the shirt was totally inappropriate (for which I got the requisite eye roll) and then I told the adults that I couldn't believe they allowed him to leave the room dressed like that. They had the grace to look embarrassed.

So, have you seen any t-shirts at the parks you would like to share? Remember ... no profanity!

I'm not sure how appropriate posting this even is but...It was Busch Gardens, not Disney. We saw a 15 yr old little girl with a tshirt with the saying "Future MILF- Mom I'd like to... " I was completely flabbergasted. I didn't see any adults with her and you had to see her to know that the initials weren't a school logo or anything. DH actually had to explain the meaning to me. I can be a little dense sometimes. He was really upset by the tshirt and wanted to say something but felt it would only give her the negative attention she was already seeking.

Saw a girl in her early teens walk past me last year in the MK with a shirt with hand prints over her chest and it said "cant touch this" underneath it.

I haven't seen any of these but they are disgusting. Doesn't anyone have self respect anymore? i don't get why anyone would want to wear those or the ones like them. Have some self respect! To bad they can't send them away at the gates to go change into something more kid/family friendly.

Haha, I think that's pretty funny. It did say "can't touch this"
not "touch this" so atleast she's on the right track:)

I believe they most certainly CAN, but they have to notice it, and then the CMs need to choose to act. Most likely, they would simply give them a shirt to change into, or ask them to purchase one or leave. I am sure it happens on occasion. When you see shirts like that, you can always show a CM and ask them to do something about it. (not that I would do that, but more power to those who would, LOL!!) A shirt with a profanity (the dog reference) would most certainly be grounds for action from a CM. The "MILF" reference would probably not.

Last year at MNSSHP I saw a family with two young teen boys wearing a homemade "costume" of white tshirts with gun holes and fake blood all over them, carrying the toy rifles they sell there. I thought that was in very poor taste, and was shocked they were with a very "normal" looking mom--who should not have let them wear that. I wanted to go ask her *** are you thinking?! It's scary to small children. (my dd was scared of them) I think WDW should have requested they change or leave, but figure noone had pointed them out and they were missed at the gate. We just tried to avoid them.

I actually saw a family be sent back to thier car at the gate once. The security guy would not allow thier daughter in with the T shirt. LEt's just say it started with an F and the second word was off. Mom was telling the girl "I told you so". Girl had an attitude problem.

Of course YEARS ago my ex got sent home from his Church of Chirst high school for wearing a polo with the ADAIS on it.... His principal claimed it was NOT a brand of sporting goods but actually stood for "All Day I dream about sex" or something like that... LOL!!!!

I saw a shirt like this a couple of years ago in EPCOT, at least it only had the handprints and not the words tho. I told DH I couldn't believe her parents let her out like that. She couldn't have been more than 13 or 14.

Great America Santa Clara a young "man" wearing a T-shirt with a large drawing of two dogs mating. Caption: "Bury the Bone"!!!!!

Bury the bone? No way. That is so lewd, yet I laughed when I read it :confused3 .

But NOT IF YOU ARE IN DISNEY. Totally, innapropriate for anyone to wear in a place where there are children. What are people thinking sometimes??

Quite frankly you were way out of line approaching this person. It is not against the law to wear a shirt such as that, no matter how inappropriate you, I, or anyone else thinks it is. Thankfully, it's his right to wear that shirt if he so desires. It is no different than an athiest claiming a shirt about Jesus is offensive.

Keep a weather eye open mates, and hold on tight with both hands if you please. There be squalls ahead!

::grabs popcorn and settles in:: This is gonna be good. :maleficen

I also have to agree that you really had some nerve to walk up to someone and tell them that you don't like their shirt and find it offensive. They have every right to wear anything they want. I agree the saying was not appropriate but you weren't offended by the women walking around in bikini tops? I would think you would be more upset about that then someone who is fully covered wearing a T shirt.

Just my two cents.

(And I do have this overwhelming urge to go up to women my age and older in thier SWIM suit tops or tank tops without bras and say "did you LOOK in the mirror this morning? and strap those babies down" I have NEVER given in to this urge, but I swear Disney is full of Glamour Don'ts!)

Good for you.

Poohsmommi and Mickeyistheman:

Are you telling me that you honestly think wearing a t-shirt I mentioned is appropriate in the Magic Kingdom? Then perhaps you need me to explain the meaning of the t-shirt, which I will be happy to do in private.

And if I have "the nerve" to go up to someone who is so insensitive to wear something like that in an innocent place like the Magic Kingdom where there are many young children around, then Bully For Me! If I embarrassed him and his family and made them uncomfortable then too darn bad. How many parents and children did they embarrass and make uncomfortable? How many people were too afraid to confront him? My only regret is that I didn't tell a CM about him so he would be forced to remove the t-shirt.
