For me, it has to be the hippies on a hillside singing "I'd like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony. I'd like to buy the world a Coke, and keep it company."

What's your most memorable commercial?

I didn't leave him cookies... I left him cheeeeeeeeeeeese!

"I've been waiting my whole life to meet you," as said to Mickey Mouse. Best commercial...ever!

We also like the Coke/WalMart commercial 'Joy - Enough to Go Round'. I hope they bring that one back this year.

"Mama Mia, what a spicy meatball!" or "I can't believe I ate the WHOOOOOLLLEE thing." (both were Alka Seltzer commercials)

This is probably one of the best commericals of all time - it epitomizes perfectly what was going on in the early 70's. :thumbsup2

It get warm and fuzzy thinking about it. It brings me back to young self in my parents family room with the red shag carpets, the black naugahide (sp) furniture, the goofy lamps and the paneling on the walls, watching this commerical on the huge counsel (again sp) TV. ahh good times

What is naugahide and what are those poor nauga critters that give it up for our furniture? :)

:thumbsup2:rotfl2: I love this one!!

I also like that one with the baby in the swing who smiles every time the swing goes forward and frowns when it swings back, and then the view switches so that you can see the baby can see the McDonald's sign when he swings forward but not when he swings back.

naugahide is basically vinyl furniture - ours was black. I'm guessing that it was to make it sound like it was actually a "hide" of an animal. It was very popular back in the olden days :rotfl2:

I am sad that I haven't seen the Folger's "PETER!" commercial this year. For some reason that defines the Christmas commercial season to me. I am now going to go look it up on YouTube.
