The Herbal Essences commercial from maybe about five years back..." We've got the urggge to Herbal...Natural Botanical...." the song went something like that and all of the women were washing their hair in a sexy type way.
I don't know why but the song always stuck with me!

We lived on the airbase in Portsmouth NH when my daughter was small. Channel 4 (WBZ??) out of Boston had a commercial that started out "We're for..." and then they showed sites around their broadcast area. One of the short clips was of a kindly older man in a brown monk (friar?) outfit waving at the camera. My daughter was about 2 at the time and she thought he was waving at her. Every time that commercial came on, she'd run to the TV. Makes me smile to remember it.

I love that one too, it makes me sappy when I see it.

I love the one of The Gap jeans a couple years ago. A guy in just gap jeans and no shirt was falling on the bed face first so all you saw was the back of him. Enough said.

Another one that came out years ago that just makes me cry is the one for pampers with all the baby animals and their moms snuggling and Rod Stewart singing "Forever Young". Gets me everytime...although I had pregnancy hormones flowing through me every time it came on No wonder I was always sobbing at it!

I am sad that I haven't seen the Folger's "PETER!" commercial this year. For some reason that defines the Christmas commercial season to me. I am now going to go look it up on YouTube.

They have a "new" version of this now--no where NEAR as good. I love this one--it always makes me cry.

Most memorable--hard to say but "I've Fallen" and "Where's the Beef" were pretty popular.

I like the Coke one too, the Christmas version "I like to teach the world to sing..."

I also miss the Ronco Christmas ads for all the junk. It just isn't the same without seeing the ads for those things. They were the early years of the "As seen on TV" I guess.

The Staples back to school commerical that plays the song "Its the most wonderful time of the year" while the dad happily throws pencils into the shopping cart.......and says They are goinnnng baaaccccckkkkkkk

Oh my goodness.... this is my favorite commercial of all time, and most people I try to explain it to have no idea what I'm talking about. I just think it is so funny. The look on the kid' faces just crack me up.

There are so many great classic commercials. Since this is a Disney board..... how about ..... "I'm too excited to sleep."

lol, my df mimics that commercial for weeks before a Dis trip, it is SO annoying! lol. Makes me laugh every time.

DH thinks it will be so cool when dd comes home from college - he thinks it will be just like like the Folger commercial

One of my all-time favorites was for Nissan sometime back in the 90's. It was first shown during the Superbowl. They showed a guy sleeping and then the camera panned back and you see his dog leaning right over him with the car keys in his mouth. The guy ends up taking the dog for a ride in his truck and picking up all the dog's friends, while they're cruising around listening to "Low Rider."

I also loved the one with Snoop Dog where he's dressed in golf clothes and goes golfing with Lee Iacoca.

How about the one from the 70's with the American Indian crying over the litter? I was just a little kid laying on MY parents' red shag carpet and I'd always get so upset for the poor guy...

We have so many in this house -- we tend to quote a lot.

Definitely the original Coke commercial with "I'd like to teach the world to sing" is up there. They did a remake that I didn't even know about until I was looking it up on youtube to show my kids the original one.

The other one that gets used a lot here so it must have stuck with us is the M&M's for their Christmas commercial of "He IS real" when they see Santa and him going "They ARE real" when he sees the M&M guys.

There is the Wendy's "Where's the Beef?" commercial but I don't know if it was so much the commercial as the saying just got absorbed into the culture.

A really like the Pamper's Peace on Earth commercial.

This reminded me of the "I told 2 friends and then they told 2 friends" commercial and the screen just kept filling up with people ala Brady Bunch square style -- I can't for the life of me remember what the shampoo was though. I think it's a brand not even made anymore. I'm pretty sure it wasn't Herbal Essences.
