Most Expensive / Moist Exhausting Continued - Final thoughts and wrap-up

It definitely won't be happening before Thursday. I'm actually on a business trip for a few days...that's why I've been getting so far behind on everyone's threads -- my hotel does not have free Wi-Fi. :sad2: So, I peek in here when I can, and I actually went to a Starbucks last night to try to get somewhat caught up.

You must be in one of those fancy hotels. When I go for a conference and stay at the "conference hotel" for convenience I never have free Wi- Fi. I can book a cheaper hotel on my own get Wi- Fi and free breakfast. Why is that? :confused3

Yeah, and I tossed in an extra "n" in my name to trip you up too. ;)

I grew up with a Glenn with 2 "n"s. That what I always called him too. Glenn with 2 "n"s.
I also had 2 Wils with one "l".

Right on the nose. It ain't exactly cheap...then they still nickel and dime you on other stuff on top of it. :sad2: I'm glad I'm not the one who has to pay for it. If/when we come back again we're going to look for something else.

Sounds like kind of a long nickname.

I also had 2 Wils with one "l".

That's just weird.

Been there. I will usually stay at the "convention hotel" since some events and transportation is usually from that hotel and if I am travelling alone I don't want to be out wandering by myself. :scared1:
The only exception would be Disney but then it was the Coronado so I stayed there because I wanted to. :teeth:

Sounds like kind of a long nickname.

It was either that or Glen na. That didn't go over to well. :lmao:

Our group had another Glen with one "n" so it differentiated the two of them. Not like we should used a last name or anything. :lmao:

That's just weird.

One was a Wilson so Wil was short for that. The other one, I am not sure but they both worked for me at different times so they were both Wil with one "l".

I can't remember if I commented on your last update, but I did love all your squinty pictures and I think you should so a picture with everyone is dark shades next time you visit. Oh yeah - dark shades AND hats!

So last week you gave me nothing to read while at work and no distractions from writing papers for school, what gives? :rolleyes1

I am even sitting here watching my DS put fruit loops inside his dads guitar hoping that you had an update.

:lmao:

I think I'll be rebellious too Liesa !!! I will be Rosee:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Rosie, the "e" is supposed to be added TO THE MIDDLE.

So it would be R O S E I E. But then, we'd have to start singing,"Rosie, Rosie, had a farm, e, i, e, i, ohhhh...." It could get ugly. :lmao:

Yeah, and I tossed in an extra "n" in my name to trip you up too. ;)

Yeah really! You people and your difficult name spelling :sad2: :rotfl:

I sincerely hope we DO, Jen!! I mean that!

I hope so too! Honestly, if I ever plan on coming out west (which I do hopefully in the next few years) I will definitely drop you a line!

I think I'll be rebellious too Liesa !!! I will be Rosee:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh boy.... I really did open a can of worms on this one....

:rotfl2:

Now don't get too carried away!

It's too late now!

My mother is the one who pinned the spelling of my name on me.....and everybody else likes to change it for me.:sad2: It is spelled t a n y a. The first "a" is like the "o" in hot and not like the "a" in can. When I correct a mis-pronunciation, they assume it's spelled wrong. The funny thing is....there were 3 of us in high school at the same time, two of us spelled and pronounced it the same way, the 3rd spelled hers t a n I a and pronounced it the other way. :confused3

I just got back home this evening. I wasn't at a convention, but it was a hotel with convention facilities, so I guess that gives them the right to charge for internet access.

It was either that or Glen na. That didn't go over to well. :lmao:

No, it wouldn't.

Our group had another Glen with one "n" so it differentiated the two of them. Not like we should used a last name or anything. :lmao:

Yeah, you wouldn't want to do that!

If it was short for William, you would have Will with two "l's".

Uh huh.

I can't remember if I commented on your last update, but I did love all your squinty pictures and I think you should so a picture with everyone is dark shades next time you visit. Oh yeah - dark shades AND hats!

Hey, thanks. Yes, we should have taken a sunglasses picture; it would definitely have been better than what we got.

So last week you gave me nothing to read while at work and no distractions from writing papers for school, what gives? :rolleyes1

You're welcome for the no distractions so that you could get your work and paper writing done! But, it's nice to hear that you're eagerly awaiting the next installment. I was really busy with work and evening activities the last couple of weeks, and earlier this week (like until an hour or so ago) I was traveling. I thought maybe I could work on an update in the evenings, but it didn't happen.

I am even sitting here watching my DS put fruit loops inside his dads guitar hoping that you had an update.

:lmao:

Ooo, those'll be fun to get out.

You're too observant. No one was supposed to notice my -

Good thing you didn't use an *. Then you'd say, "No one was supposed to notice my asterisk".

But, I always like to do something like that also, in order to have the udpate at the top of the next page. I saw that your latest update was at the top and so I went to the prevous page just to see if it was coincidental or not...

What about Roesie?

WHAT??!! :scared1: 5 pages of chit-chat and still no update??!!! I'm starving! :lmao: J/K

Sorry Trib! I've been busy, what can I say? Glad you're checking-in periodically though.

Yeah really! You people and your difficult name spelling :sad2: :rotfl:

Don't skimp on the "n's"!

Oh boy.... I really did open a can of worms on this one....

What's new?

My mother is the one who pinned the spelling of my name on me.....and everybody else likes to change it for me.:sad2: It is spelled t a n y a. I want to be surprised at that, but I'm sure you do get a lot of people who are confused. But Tanya is a fairly common name, usually spelled the way yours is. Definitely, the t-o-n spelling is the unusual one.

Evening activities??? Seems like when you are travelling somehow it seems like every minute is planned for you. They don't want you sitting in your room being bored. Don't they know you have a TR to write?

Forgive me while I hijack the thread for a moment. I am considering starting a 1 year long, 3 trip PTR, although the more I think about it, the thread would be a PTR/TR hybrid. June-June, DCL, WDW and possibly DL. I started a thread to ask for opinions here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2705417

I would love to get some thoughts for you Glennbo and all you veteran and not so veteran travelers! TIA and please pardon the interuption!

Exactly. It'd be just awful if all you had to do was stretch out on the bed, toss your shoes on the floor, and flip through the TV dial.

No problem at all. Thanks for advertising over here, or I might have missed it. I'll comment on your thread. :thumbsup2

(Make sure you let us know when you start your PTR/TR, by the way.)

Look at it this way – your friends would have no chance of survival without a tour guide as experienced as you. ;) I couldn’t think of anyone better equipped.
Getting a little personal aren't you??? :confused3 And Candi is going to be SOOOOO jealous!!!
his calander doesnt go that far in the future.
:rotfl:
Okay, since we are the topic of Liesa's name, I must bring this up. How do you pronounce her name?! I was always so worried I'd pronounce it wrong so I never really said it outloud when we had the DC Meet. Is it Lee-sa? Like Glenn mentions above or Lie-za? Le-A-za? She's going to think I'm nuts :rotfl2:
Haha! I never even noticed that you didn't use my name!! How funny!

Glenn is right, it's just plain old Lee-suh. I had a small rebellious stage in Jr. High where I added the "e" just to be different. It stuck, and here we are.

AS for thinking she's nutz... :dance3:;)
Okay, she beat me to it! I asked this same question before! As for that rebellious stage, can you really call something a stage when it hasn't ended yet??? :lmao:

That should be Rohzee! I can see all those other spellings of everyone's names you have been discussing just by heading over to Dan's thread!!! ;)
:rotfl2:
Now don't get too carried away!
Rosie! Ms. Straight-laced??? Carried away????? :rolleyes1

I think the real story to the spelling of Liesa's name is that she went with the way Dan spells it. Oh wait, you made that same joke didn't you?

Thank you! That's what I think too.
