Most Expensive / Moist Exhausting Continued - Final thoughts and wrap-up

Great update Glenn:goodvibes. Though after reading this moist TR, I really don't think I ever want to visit Disney in September! I'd hate to risk my children's retinas too like you did yours.;)

Yikes, so much squinting going on here! Your poor family, it must have been like looking directly at the sun. Those PP pics are priceless though! Sometimes an imperfect shot really makes a great pic, doesn't it? I think so!:thumbsup2

Nice acrobat pics. Those poor gymnasts must have been sweltering in their costumes though!

Poor Judy! I don't do well in the heat either, especially if I haven't been drinking enough. I'm glad she was ok.:goodvibes It must have been bad if you to stop at Club Cool AND the restrooms just to exit Epcot.

Oh man, I missed another udpate too! The PD one! Love James' sleek car, very cool! And yay for winning!:woohoo:

Marlene's was so very creative! I loved it! You've got some crafty kids there Glenn.

Ok, I have so much of this :laundy: to do and this :teacher: to do that I can't possibly justify time on the DIS.:sad1: Thanks for the great updates though, as always they are a blast to read!:thumbsup2

I'll comment on the banter first, then come back later and post my comments to your actual update!!!

Well, I thought that was the answer, but I've got several people saying "10", so I've got to find out where they're seeing these extra Judy's.
Inquiring minds want to know!!!
But you're just going to be hungry again in 2 hours.
:rotfl2:
Okay, I'll end the suspense and say that I saw 8, but saw Dan had already said that. When you hadn't responded yet that he was correct, I was thinking maybe that meant (as has happened before) that you hadn't received a correct answer yet. Ruled her out in the train garden pictures and the top of a head in one other, but was thinking just maybe the top of one of the heads in that final picture could be an elusive Judy, so I took a shot! I figure it's a waste of time repeating someone else's answer since they already won the point if they are correct.

Then of course I see Liesa responded right above me with 10 and I was like HUH? Then after going through them again I just realized that woman has been too busy greeting people in her own unique way and she's just LOST it!!! :rotfl:
Hey, I'm with you...I thought it was 8. Must be some reflections I missed.
No, Rules Committee Annex agrees with 8 since you clarified that wasn't the top of Judy's head in the last picture! (but it coulda been!!!) ;)
Don't get me wrong, I liked the school bread. I just thought it was going to be....more. More delectable, more amazing, and more of it. Look at it compared to Marlene's cream puff!
I know what you mean. After reading so much about it on the DIS I just had to try one on the trip where we met. It was good, but not as wonderful as I had read about. And I LOVE coconut! Maybe it was just that the bar was set so high that it couldn't possibly live up to those expectations???
I am not touching that one- the woodbench next to the Candi shrine??? :rotfl2:
The fact you got that subtle reference says lots about you Pat!!! :rolleyes1

I like it!!! :thumbsup2
I only count 8 Judy's. I will go back ( again ) and look harder - I'll be in the basement.
Hmmm, Pat's Basement!?! So many ways that could go, but I'll just ask WHY, do you have a Glennbo Shrine???
Well...I saw 8 Judys in the family shots, then 1 walking around the garden in Germany and then the top of her head in the last photo of in China. No?
For a split second I was fooled by the shorts in that one picture, but having met the Glennbo family, I knew James was a wee bit bigger than that........unless it WAS so hot that day the poor kid was starting to melt away.....
I don't get this one....and I think it's better that way.
Probably true!!! :)
You guys are seeing Judy's around every corner!
We're not used to them all being so obvious! Plus, I don't think Where's Waldo would have ever caught on if they didn't put a few (okay pretty much all) of them "around every corner!!!"
Surely you were talking about the Chinese acrobat. I told God I either wanted to be a gymnast or Olympic ice skater in heaven with my new body.
Uh, that would be a NO! There was seriously someone in one of Glenn's pics that when I saw them my first thought was "Glenn got a picture of Liesa and didn't even realize it!" But I knew that wasn't possible since you weren't there at the same time. Maybe I'll see if anyone can find it and award a Liesa-do bonus point in my game.
The head was worth a try.... So I'm back to 8, and reluctantly have to concede that there were other WAY ahead of me-----again. WAH!!!!
Hey, you can't win if you don't play, right???
And, Liesa, I LIKE Miracle Whip. It actually has flavor! I always think it's funny when people use mayonnaise and then add all the things to it for a salad that make it taste like Miracle Whip.
I'm with you on this one Tammie! No accounting for some people's taste! Or lack thereof!!!
2. Marvali and Fauntleroy are quite witty in the repartee
YOU are very perceptive and an EXCELLENT judge! At least we know one place you aren't "Walking in the FOG!!!"
These might have worked better in front of POTC. Then you could have all been doing your best "Arrrrr..." pirate face.
LOL pirate:
Well, you win some, lose some, I guess. Where's the Dole Whip counter when you need it?
Or even the Miracle Whip counter......right Tammie???
But I wasn't there until September!
Do You Remember......
Very well put! I'm totally stealing that.
Yes, a definite Glennbo-ism worth remembering!!! :goodvibes
Good thinking. Nothing cools you off like an ice-cold Beverly. :thumbsup2
Or turns you against marriage!!! (rimshot!)
I think he was just talking about your Judy-do guess, but it'd be funny to see Marv in the tights of any of those people -- acrobat, gymnast, or skater. :rotfl2:
:sad2: I'm starting to worry about you, Dude!!!
Yes, I think it's time that I award this round to Dan.

Way to go Dan! :cheer2:
Yep, way to go Bestest Buddy!!! :thumbsup2
Okay, in that case I'll answer them in my own random order.
:lmao:
And as a nurse, you might have plenty of puddles to squeegee.
You're on a roll with the zingers!!! :thumbsup2
Yes, she's already swooning over me on a daily basis, naturally, so there's no need to add heat stroke to that.
Okay, forget I said that! :sad2:
I didn't even try that sandwich. Maybe I should have so that I could have given a better report. But I doubt that I could tell the difference between Miracle Whip and mayo on a sandwich. Dunking Belgian french fries into...yeah, I could tell the difference, but not on a sandwich.
Some people!!!
And I'm sure you walked through some poor guy's squeegee puddle without even realizing it, and he's still ticked-off about it.
Hey, don't TELL him! Up until now, he was completely oblivious!
Hi there Glenn just checking in my "all better"laptop!!:rotfl2:
We haven't heard anything from Piglet lately, so I'm guessing he can't say the same!!! :rolleyes1

More great touring with the Glennbo family. Sorry the sun did such a bad number on everyone's eyes. But it is a funny series of photos. :rotfl: The more people in the picture the harder it is to get everyone to smile and keep their eyes open. Too bad you couldn't go "to the cloud" to fix it like in the commercial.

Your food looked good, even Lauren's sandwhich. I have to wonder where they went bad? The combination sounds good.:confused3

Good call getting out before someone had a heatstroke. I've been in the parks when it was just too hot before too.

Oh nuts, I wanted to see that crappy picture. Giraffe's may or may not make an appearance in the next chapter. :rolleyes1

Here it is. The one and only picture of my son feeding a giraffe. Can't you see the excitement on his face? Oh and check out the giraffe. Beautiful face, right?

I need to have a back up photographer. My friend does not deserve this camera. lol

Yes, when I saw Dan post 8, I was about to declare him the winner, but I thought I'd wait a little bit so people wouldn't stop looking.

But then I saw some 9 and 10 responses, and I was afraid that maybe I missed something....even though that's never happened before, there could always be a first time.

I like that you apply strategy to the game. :thumbsup2

No, Rules Committee Annex agrees with 8 since you clarified that wasn't the top of Judy's head in the last picture! (but it coulda been!!!) ;)

Am I reading this correctly? Is Marv agreeing with the Rules Committee?? :confused3

I know what you mean. After reading so much about it on the DIS I just had to try one on the trip where we met. It was good, but not as wonderful as I had read about. And I LOVE coconut! Maybe it was just that the bar was set so high that it couldn't possibly live up to those expectations???

I love coconut too, and I think that's exactly what happened with me -- my expectations were sky-high.

The fact you got that subtle reference says lots about you Pat!!! :rolleyes1

I like it!!! :thumbsup2
Hmmm, Pat's Basement!?! So many ways that could go, but I'll just ask WHY, do you have a Glennbo Shrine???

I wondered if that's what it meant too.

For a split second I was fooled by the shorts in that one picture, but having met the Glennbo family, I knew James was a wee bit bigger than that........unless it WAS so hot that day the poor kid was starting to melt away.....

That was a distinct possibility.

We're not used to them all being so obvious! Plus, I don't think Where's Waldo would have ever caught on if they didn't put a few (okay pretty much all) of them "around every corner!!!"

Keep your edge. ;)

Do You Remember......

Earth, Wind, and Fire! (I love the trumpets in that song.)

Yes, a definite Glennbo-ism worth remembering!!! :goodvibes

Another one to add to the many already on the list.

You're on a roll with the zingers!!! :thumbsup2

Okay, forget I said that! :sad2:

So fickle.

We haven't heard anything from Piglet lately, so I'm guessing he can't say the same!!! :rolleyes1

Laptop -- I get it! :rotfl2:

I think my "cloud" is a dark cloud! But you're right, some people were okay in some of the pictures, but we couldn't get even one with all of us not squinting.

Your food looked good, even Lauren's sandwhich. I have to wonder where they went bad? The combination sounds good.:confused3

I'm not sure....it was a swing and a miss.

Good call getting out before someone had a heatstroke. I've been in the parks when it was just too hot before too.

When it's time to go, it's time to go.

I need to have a back up photographer. My friend does not deserve this camera. lol

 Well, I do like the close-up of the tongue and the good look of the giraffe's fuzzy snout. And on the "plus" side, if your friend ever wants to publish this picture he won't have to get any release forms signed. :rotfl2:

I'm sure his pictures will be much better with the new camera.

Anyway, I hope you get it. I'd like to see what you can do with it.

Am I reading this correctly? Is Marv agreeing with the Rules Committee?? :confused3
Well sure! On the rare occasion that the Rules Committee makes a sound, valid judgement I would look foolish NOT to agree!!! :goodvibes
Hmmm, I'll have to go back and look.
It will be interesting to see if anyone else has my deep perception and identification skills!!! :thumbsup2
Earth, Wind, and Fire! (I love the trumpets in that song.)
+1 :thumbsup2

First acrobat picture. Directly across, wearing sunglasses, standing next to a large guy in a white shirt holding a beer.

Either that, or one of the little people in the train model village in Germany. Hee hee hee.

You nailed it! She is even doing the Movie Star sunglasses trying not to be identified look! For some reason she just jumped out of that picture at me when I first looked at it and being vertically challenged and all, I just immediately thought "Liesa!" Surprising since she is almost totally blocked from view by that little boy standing in front of her! :)

(I did notice one of the people in the train model village too, but I eventually ruled that one out.......) :rolleyes1

You guys are too much! She does look a little like Liesa, though I'm glad she's not shirtless. If she was, then we'd KNOW it was Liesa.;)

As a Music Dept geek - I thought this was referring to the musical Fantasticks :confused3. The post ahead of Marv's post referreed to 'September"....and one of the songs recurring lines is "Try to remember the kind of September....." :rolleyes1
I guess you remembered and followed, followed, followed.........

Actually, the Earth, Wind and Fire song I was referring to, and Glenn accurately guessed, starts with the lyrics.......
Do you remember, the 21st night of September???

only had 2 minutes so skimmed it all, did i win, i see marv put me as the winner

And we'd KNOW she'd get her own escort out of the park.

I know what song you're thinking of, but we don't do show tunes on this thread. ;)

Do you remember every cloudy day....yow!

Yep, you won this round! You got a :cheer2: a few posts back. :yay:

Totally out of internet time, until midnight, but you can be sure...

I'll be back. <insert Schwartzenager voice>

HEY! I saw that!!
Don't matter none.... Little people= Big tude!

Do you remember every cloudy day....yow!
I'm remembering them right now. Starting to get really nasty outside, and the main part of the storm isn't that close to us yet! Same storm that came through the middle of the country, and stirred up problems for Maroo!!! Need to check on my sister. She lives about a mile from Talladega racetrack and they were talking about the storm bearing down on that area on the evening news......
Totally out of internet time, until midnight, but you can be sure...

I'll be back. <insert Schwartzenager voice>
And bring your corncob pipe when you come back MacArthur!
HEY! I saw that!!
Don't matter none.... Little people= Big tude!
Not surprising! They were standing right next to you as the train went by.......... :rotfl2:

 Ok.....I think I remember that song too....sorta.

And, yep, I follow, follow, followed to the wrong conclusion...:confused3

The fact you got that subtle reference says lots about you Pat!!! :rolleyes1

I like it!!! :thumbsup2
Hmmm, Pat's Basement!?! So many ways that could go, but I'll just ask WHY, do you have a Glennbo Shrine???

One of the road we need to use to get to the hwy is Morningwood drive- lots of chuckles from the teenage boy as we drive down so yeah I get it. :rolleyes1

No Glennbo shrine,( I may or may not be lying ;)) but lots of :magnify: to do research with.:ssst:

I like all those squinty family photos. They are best seen in a series like that. Maybe you could do some kind of frameable montage. James' squint looks like he's saying "what the?!"

I DO remember the sushi car from last year! And her refrigerator this year is every bit as clever. But good that James won this time. Congrats James!:goodvibes

So, it was really hot, huh? What do you think, 95? 98? Or was it the humidity? This was June, wasn't it? I've never been in June, and I was thinking it wouldn't be so bad- but maybe I'm wrong:goodvibes

More great pictures, even the squinty ones. I've never understood how photographers expect people to simultaneously stare into the blazing sun and keep their eyes open! Crazy. Lotus Blossom looks pretty good and just might be on our list for July.
