we rebooked and did add on the transfer service.

now thinking about it, thats another $354!!

Is there a better way to get 6 of us to the port and back without any hassles??

there will be a lot of luggage for 6 of us and 4 of them kids so we want it pain free.

DCL would be easiest, but is it worth the extra cost to do it??

I know that the kids(and myself) would love to see the video that they show on the way there and back, and we leaving port, it was so easy to just hop on the bus.

what other options do i have and cost??

Well, I'm thinking with 6 in your group almost anything would be cheaper than DCL transportation. But you have to weigh the hassle free, pain free thing for yourself. ;)

We rented a mini-van and that worked out great for us. I don't have the exact numbers, but it was under $100 per leg, so less than DCL.

I know lots of folks have posted about using limo services. Hopefully someone will come along and give you a better idea about going that route.

Check Happy Limo. They have rates on their website and Mousesavers offers a discount code for them. We are using them to transport our party of 10 from WDW to Port. I like the idea of arriving earlier and not having to worry about driving ourselves.

Hope that helps! :thumbsup2

Rent a car or mini van. Also look into the towncar option. These 2 options are cheaper than DCL transfers. The towncar picks you right up at port and the rental cars shuttles also pick you up at port and then to their agencies.

No question about it, a rental car is the least expensive way to travel to the port. A one-way rental incurs no drop-off charge, and it is an easy one hour drive. Drop everybody off at the terminal with their luggage, return the car, and take the shuttle back. Plus, this way if you want to stop for liquor, water, or forgotten items, you can.

I vote for DCL. I went with FL Tours and was VERY happy with them. No problem at all. On time and courteous. Was it cheaper? There were 11 of us--much cheaper. BUT.

5 of us stayed at the Hyatt the night before. We had to get our luggage from the carousel (which you'd have to do before using any car service), tip the MCO guy to the Hyatt. Tip the Hyatt guy to the room. Tip the Hyatt guy from the room. Tip the car service guy, tip the DCL luggage people, then on the return tip the car service guy again.

We rebooked while on board and are definitely getting the transfers. Savings by not using DCL? maybe $10. Enjoyment by not having to worry about luggage and tips? priceless
