Hi. What would be the easiest and most cost effective way for me to get to CBR from MCO. I cannot take ME. Thank you.

Why can't you take ME? The only other options I can think of are taxi, limo and renting a car, and I think a taxi or a limo are going to be kind of pricey for just one person.

When you get to MCO, go down to level 1, ground transportation, Side B. Go to the Mears counter and tell them where you need to go. It will cost about $19 one way. You could very well be put on a DME bus.

This is exactly what I needed to know. Thank you very much! I will print this out.

Do you have experience with them? I would need to use for getting from CBR to MCO since wont be using ME. Thanks so much!

Thanks. I will look into price for taxi.

You could look into the Mears shuttle service.

Thanks. You and goofy4tink both mentioned Mears and that is what I told my dh I would probably need to take. Thank you.

Yes, goofy4tink has experience with the Mears shuttle. She passed on airport-to--hotel private vehicle transportation so she could be able to report on Mears.

I do...it takes a bit longer than DME. In my case it was about 95 mins from gate to resort. But a pleasant experience.

Oh give it up......:rotfl2: That's the last time I'll refuse a ride!!!!

Thanks. Can I go online to look at the prices so Im all set when I arrive? Ill be leaving my dh/ds and a baseball team so want to make sure I know exactly where to go and how much. Thank you very much for your detailed description and for trying this out to help others. I very much appreciate it.

Hi.
When I went on the Mears site today, it looks like I can't take a bus to CBR since it says I would need a reservation and then use ME.
If I was coming off a flight, and wanted to stop at CBR to visit a friend, would my only option to be a private taxi? I am willing to take a bus (not a public bus) that would bring me there or share a ride so just wondering when you used Mears did you have a confirmed reservation? Once I got to property, I would give them the person's name I am visiting.
Thank you.

That's why goofy4tink said to go to the Mears counter when you get to the airport. It's some quirk of the system that although you can't book Mears for a Disney resort, you can purchase a ticket at the counter for a Disney resort. (I actually knew about this option, but had forgotten about it when I initially responded to your question.)

Thank you. So, I can purchase a ticket at the counter without having an actual reservation in my name at the resort, although I can visit someone there that has a reservation by showing up in the Mears transportation?

Whew, lol

If I call them, would I be able to get a price, would they do this with me over the phone? I'm very Type A and would just like to confirm all this (SO SORRY, I DO TRUST YOU ALL) rather than just showing up and having something had changed since you all did last time.

Let me ask you a question here....what would you do if the Mears option were to not be available? There is absolutely no way anyone can guarantee that the Mears shuttle will get you to CBR, even for a price. Yes, it's doable now...but anything can change. Will it change? Probably not. I am perfectly comfortable recommending the Mears shuttle as an option. But....worst case scenario....if you got there, and they told you the policy had changed, you could always get a cab. Yes, it would be expensive....around $50. But, that's pretty much the alternative..

I would plan on it being around $20, one way, from MCO to a WDW resort. That's what it is to the S/D....just up the road from CBR. If Mears suddenly stopped allowing paid rides to WDW resorts, you could always pre book a ride to the Swan, for around $20, then take a cab from the Swan to CBR....a 5 min ride and about $10 fare.

But seriously, you should be able to go to the counter at MCO and pay for a ride to CBR. And you will most likely be put on a DME bus.

Thank you very much! I am going to do this and you are right...if I cannot do it, I'll hop in a cab. Thank you.
I printed out the information and put in my travel file.
Thank you very much :cheer2::flower3:
