I am making my son an autograph book and I am curious as to who are the most common characters to see?

Anyone mind posting who they saw on some trips to help me out? Obviously they won't all be set in stone but I'd like to at least get a start on the sheets. Thanks!

There was another poster trying to identify every character that might be seen at DLR.

In general, I think the Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto) are very common. Mater, McQueen, and Red are usually available in Carsland on a daily basis.

As long as you're willing to wait, there are some characters that have dedicated meet and greet locations (Anna & Elsa, Merida, Captain America, Thor, and Tinkerbell&).

The characters at the Big Thunder Ranch Carnival area are the most variable and I wouldn't count on seeing any of them.

Thanks for the link. I missed that!

Adding to the Fab 5, Cruella, Chip and Dale, Geppetto, Buzz (in Tomorrowland), Woody and Jesse (on the Big Thunder Trail) Peter Pan (near Matterhorn usually), ALice and Madhatter (out front and by CIty Hall), Mary Poppins and Bert (out front or down by Plaza Inn) are just a few you can find regularly if you are looking.

ETA - Forgot about Pooh, Eyeore, Tigger and Piclet back by Pooh's Corner.

Mater, Lightning McQueen and Red don't sign autographs, it's just a photo op. The characters at BTR don't really sign either, they hand you a pre-signed card. Donald is kind of rare as a random walk around, but he has a meet in DCA, as does Duffy. In Critter Country it's usually only Tigger, Eeyore and Pooh at the meet. I've seen Piglet once and Rabbit once. I've also seen Br'er Fox and Bear working the Splash line on really crowded days during summer.

Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto are out periodically on Main St, and at the Toontown opening. Mickey, Goofy, Pluto and Chip and Dale also hang out on BVS.

My friend was there 3 days last weekend and posted pics with Geppetto (looked like it might have been at Goofy's Kitchen), Pinocchio by the flagpole, Goofy by the firehouse and Queen of Hearts/White Rabbit by some bricks, maybe Main St Station?

We just spent 5 days in the parks this past week. I also made autograph cards for my kids to have signed. Here is who we saw...

Pluto & Goofy were often in the front on main street, as well as in Toon Town

Toontown: Mickey, Minnie (in their houses), Donald & Daisy (they rotated), Goofy, Pluto

Princess faire: They rotate, but it seemed Cinderella and Aurora were often posted on the board, we also saw Mulan there

Merida has her own M & G

Anna & Elsa (total craziness as people have posted here!!!)

Thunder Ranch Jamboree: We hit the mother load here, totally by accident, in the span of about 30 minutes. We saw Jesse, Woody, Thumper, Brer Rabbit, White Rabbit from Alice, Roger Rabbit, Brer Bear, Baloo, Minnie in pastels, Mickey in plaid pastels, Rabbit from Pooh...think a couple others but I forgot who.

Bert and Mary Poppins out front on Main Street

Mad Hatter & Alice by Matterhorn/Alice ride

Tinkerbell and two other fairies in Pixie Hollow

Snow White by the wishing well

Goofys Kitchen dinner: Jasmine, Minnie, Goofy, Chip (Dale was out briefly but we didn't get the chance to meet him), Mad hatter, Pluto

In DCA...

Sailer Donald was always out in a M&G spot near Ariels Grotto

Jesse, Buzz (does not sign) and Woody traded out in a M&G area in the back pier area past the Midway Toy Story ride

Doc McStuffins, Sophia the first, and Jake (Neverland pirates) trade out in front of the Animation Academy building

"Old time" Mickey (not sure what he is called, wears suspenders, cap) was often out in the Carthay Circle area

Tow Mater and Lighting McQueen in Carsland area, as others said, they don't sign

Hope that helps!

This is great, thanks!

We've never seen Piglet or Rabbit. Pooh and Tigger are the most common. Eeyore is there every day, but seems to take more breaks. A CM told me that Rabbit and Piglet are only out for special occasions.

Jasmine and Aladdin can be met at their MG location near Jungle Cruise.

We've seen Gepetto several times on Main Street.

The Minnie and Friends breakfast has a lot of random characters. We saw Pip the Penguin (from Mary Poppins), Hook, Max (Goofy's son), and the Fairy Godmother. Along with regular characters like Minnie and Tigger.

I think you said son, but the princesses of course are easy to find at their MG or Ariel's meal. Rapunzel and Flynn Rider can be met after their show as can Belle. Anna/Elsa of course have their meet, but I have no plans to do that as it's ridiculously long. We never saw Rapunzel when she was located there either. And Merida can be found near It's a Small World. Tinkerbell also has her own MG near the Matterhorn.

I've seen Peter Pan and Alice walking around Fantasyland several times.

We've seen evil characters such as the Queen of Hearts, the Evil Queen, and Cruella De'ville all regularly in the past. We saw Jack Skellington too, but that was during Halloween time.

Pluto is EVERYWHERE! Goofy and Chip/Dale are also easy to find.

Mickey, Minnie, and Donald are easy as they all have their own MG (Donald's at DCA). Daisy has eluded us though.

If you have a Disney Visa from Chase, you can meet Stitch (also at DCA). I've never seen him in the parks though. Check the schedule as he rotates with Minnie.

In DCA we've seen Sulley, Mr. Incredible, and Fro-zone in the backlot.

As mentioned the Disney Jr. friends meet near their show. We met Handy Manny there. My DD gave him a hug even though she did not know who he was.

Of course you can meet Red, Lightning, and Mater in Carsland. You can also dance with DJ (the musical car from the movie) and get a great photo/video. Since none of the cars sign anyway, I still consider that meeting the character.

Toy Story characters now have an official MG on the pier, and you can see and dance with the green soldiers regularly (see times guide).

Duffy the Disney Bear can be met on the pier, near Donald. He's cute and cuddly!

You can meet the characters of UP in the trail area. They do a short show and then a MG.

Crush has a little show in the animation building. You could call that a MG.

Minnie can often be found near the static plane in Condor Flats dressed as a pilot.

Mickey can be found around DCA too, although he's old fashioned. We saw him riding the trolley and waving.

If your son likes Phineas and Ferb, they do a little show that also involves dancing.

I think there are a lot of opportunity, including parades, to see the characters. It's just you may not always be able to get an autograph, but you should be able to snap a picture for a keepsake book.
