My vote goes for the Contemporary, other than the bay view it is just so blah...

I agree with the Contemperary. The bad thing is that i cannot answer this question accuratly because i havn't seen all the pools. However the one pool that i thought would be "grand" is AKL's and it really isn't. I like it, but the water slide could have been like a huge elephant or something with its trunk as the slide. Fun!:D

The Fort Wilderness pools are just your average, run-of-the-mill pools also.

I was at Disney this past Oct. with my 2 grandchildren:D :D and they really enjoyed the pool at the Contemporary. They loved the slide and I loved the fact that there was always a Dis CM at the top of the slide supervising the kids.

Hi all,

I agree with JOC. The unthemed and no
jacuzzi pools of Fort Wilderness are the
most boring.

I have to go with the main pool at the Grand Floridian.... it has very little, if any theming.. I was really surprised considering it is a deluxe property.. however their beach pool is very tropical looking and appealing.

I actually like the pool at the Contemporary. It has the water fountains sprouting up and the water shooting up around the pool for kids to play in, a slide and it's nice to be in the pool and watch the boats and parasailers in Bay Lake or turn towards the resort and see the monorail going into and coming out of the Contemporary. :D

The main pool at the Grand Floridian was a bit boring because there is nothing much to it, however their new zero entry pool is kind of cool.

I wouldn't consider any of them boring - but some are more relaxing than others. The FW pools are just pools - no theming, no slides. We love it there though - it is just so peaceful. No kids screaming & running around (including my own).

When we were there last year the fountains were not working at the CR. I hope they are working when we are there is 18 more days (not that we're counting!) :p

The GF gets my vote for both pools. What is the theme of the theme pool? It really doesn't fit with the Victorian style. I'll take the Poly, YC/BC or BWI any day!:)

I would say the ones at Ft Wilderness are pretty boring.. But that is why I like them.. They are very quiet and during the day it is a great place to just get some sun... But the most boring pool... Well that is one with no water... No wait if it does not have water then it really is not a pool so... Never mind...

is for the main pool at the Grand Floridian. How blah for such a nice resort. We loved the resort EXCEPT the pool. In fact, we transferred to the Beach Club mainly because of Stormalong Bay.

The most boring pool at WDW, IMHO is the main pool at OKW. For a resort that is supposed to be considered a deluxe home away from home resort, their pool is a joke. At least at the Contemporary and GF you have the beautiful 7 Seas Lagoon atmosphere and FW is after all a campground so their pool seems appropriate. But there is no excuse for a resort that is supposed to be a deluxe resort and that also receives a lot of money per year in membership dues to have such a lack luster pool as OKW has.

The main pool at the CR (nearest the resort) could be considered Mickey Shaped the two top circles do kind of look like the ears and the bottom area his head. I think technically they said it's a free form pool. But people using their imagination could say it looks like Mickey.

Having stayed at all the Deluxes I could say the most boring pool to me was the AKL, the setting was beautiful and relaxing, but it was just like a big huge watering hole for buffallo or something. I haven't stayed at any of the moderates, but I hear all those pools are pretty cool.

We just got back from our first trip to Old Key West and we absolutely love the resort. But the main pool is as plain as you can get. They also have a few quite pools but they too are just pools....nothing special. The only thing I found 'cool' about the OKW pool is that they had a sauna right next to the pool.....I love saunas. But the pool itself is as 'blah' as a resort pool can be.

MJS mentioned that the pool at the BWI is nice. Since I just booked there:D for Oct., I'm wondering if anyone could tell me what it's like? Thanks, Karen

Hey karensi......the main pool at BWI and BWV is very good. The pool area itself is called Luna Park. It has an excellent slide (the Keister Coaster) for a resort pool....the only one better at WDW is at Stormalong Bay (at the Y&B Clubs). It's a winding slide that 'dumps you out' of a clowns mouth into the pool. It's fairly large and I believe there is a small section that has elephants shooting water out of their trunks into the pool too. There is also a hot tub off the main pool area and a drink and snack bar right along the main pool as well. This resort also has a couple of nice quiet pools. Again, other than Stormalong Bay, it is my favorite resort pool......then again, I love a good water slide.

The Contemporary pool is pretty good i think. The best pool however is Stormalong Bay at the YC and BC. I cant say what the worst pool is because I haven't seen them all.
