I do NOT like Bobby Flay AT ALL.
Rachel Ray gets my vote for the most annoying though. For me it's mostly her little made up expressions like "yum-O". She just gets on my nerves!
I ADORE Alton Brown. He's my favorite.

Sandra Lee got my vote. I watch cooking shows for entertainment & knowledge. Mixing powdered salad dressing packets into various things is not cooking IMHO! I've only watched a few minutes of a few of her shows, but nothing has looked even remotely appetizing.

RR bugged me at first, but I got used to her - the food is good.
Can't stand Emeril either.

As for the 5 people (so far) who voted Tyler Florence - what were you THINKING??? He can come to my house and cook for me anytime :thumbsup2 !

Yeah, Tyler's cool. He just seems like a regular guy who can really cook. He'd better watch it, though--he's definitely starting to pack on the pounds (makes no difference to my wife, of course  ).

I like Bobby Flay and Mario Batali, too. And, I don't know, but do you think Mario might've had anything to do with Rachael Ray's win on Iron Chef America?

Seriously. The guy's one helluva chef.

I love Anthony Bourdain!!!!!! Hes too funny!

Yes! :thumbsup2

And, like me, he hasn't much love for either Rachael Ray or Emeril. Though he does admit that Emeril's an actual chef.

I pretty much don't like any of the women and very few of the men. Love, love, love Alton Brown and Dave Lieberman, like Mario Batali, Tyler Florence and Anthony Bourdain. Oh, and I liked Guy on the Challenge but haven't seen his show yet.

DH and I noticed this as well. Mrs. Carter didn't *appear* to be very happy about the entire thing if you ask me.

It seemed to be the same when Paula was on Martha. There was an assistant that used to work with Paula that now works with Martha. Well, Paula called him out and kissed and hugged him. My impression was that Paula was trying to upstage Martha. Martha didn't didn't look pleased.

I saw another show of Paula's that seemed like she was flirting with an audience member. Maybe that's why the guys like her.

The accent is a bit thick though. I've been to Savannah (and will be there in 5 days) and my parents live near there and accents don't seem that heavy there (whatever). I'd love to stop at her restaurant, but the wait seems long and I've heard it's overrated. I just like her personality.

P.S.I know my husband doesn't mind looking (starring) at Sandra Lee!

I would tend to agree with this if it wasn't the fact that she only pronounces culinary terms in that affected accent. Man, I just can't stand her.
Yep that is why she bugs me. It just seems too affected. I have not watched enough of Sandra Lee to make a decision but you guys are cracking me up! She seriously matches everything to the food??? :rotfl:

Emeril needs to come up with a new phrase or too. He can keep BAM, but that whole "I said to myself, 'Self'" is getting old. Used to be funny--it's not anymore and a few of the others aren't either.

I used to love Alton and his show is still quite interesting to me, but really who the heck ever is going to make that stuff? His pizza dough took TWO DAYS!!! When I want to make pizza I would like to eat it today, thanks.

Rachel is fine but she is way over done right now. I like 30 minute meals but I dont' watch the otherstuff.

That Throwdown with Bobby Flay does NOT cast him in a good light. He acts like it would be insulting for these people to maybe be good cooks. It's like God forbid that any other area of the country have any talent. Get a grip dude. It is not a personal affront that some guy in Mpls makes really good original ice cream!

Sandra Lee drives me crazy...

"I'll just make me a nice cocktail to go with *insert food of the day here*"

Barefoot Contessa! She has a serious stick up her butt!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Although I do like her recipes, I agree with the rectal analogy: especially when she says, make sure to use the 'good kind, ' as she pulls out basic brand name mayonnaise or mustard.

I feel like the only person who liked Rachel. I think that she's funny.

"Now where did I put that? Oh there it is."

I'm sorry (and this isn't even who I voted for as most annoying), but can you name one recipe to which the Contessa doesn't add cream??? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I can take Racheal in small, measured doses, but, for me, Emeril has absolutely no redeeming value.

Love Barefoot Contessa I've actually made her recipes and all I can say is YUM!

Yes, exactly! Why wouldn't they with 1 cup of heavy cream/recipe! ;)

I just saw a Nigella show for the first time yesterday and I'm about to try her Trifle recipe for company this weekend. Hope it works! She's lovely and her presentation is so edgy!
