I'm sorry, y'all. I feel rather confident that this has been asked in the past, but a search didn't help me. I must be using the wrong search terms. My trip is coming up really quickly, though, and I'm trying to get packed!

i've been using weather undeground and weather dot com, but disney sent me an email with accu weather and the accu weather forecast is WAY off of the other two. is that more accurate??? it's literally the difference between packing shorts and swimsuits or not packing shorts and swimsuits. TIA!

Weather is unpredictable .. prepare for all situations. Bring rain gear even if rain isn't in the forecast, bring swimsuits even if it is predicted to be cold .. etc.
Sure it makes packing harder, but I am an overpacker (especially since I can drive to WDW) .. :)

Yep, I agree. It's Florida, weather can change quickly, as things blow across the state. We use the Weather Channel, and it's usually pretty good, but not always perfect.

Weather app and WeatherBug.

In general..Pack for warm and cold weather Dec-Feb. Pack for warm weather March-November

Check the forecast 24 hours or less away and go by that

We just got back from a trip to another destination. When I packed for the trip last Wednesday, snow was predicted for Sunday. By the time Friday rolls around all chances of snow had dissipated. We were disappointed as we don't see snow where we are and I have way over packed for the trip . But had we had snow I would not have wanted to go buy all the things I packed .

Weather forecast in the south very difficult to predict sometimes

When it comes to central Florida, you really can't trust a forecast that's more than a few hours out.

No, that isn't a joke.

Like New England...

But in all seriousness I usually try to find the local weather guys wherever I travel as they know the weather patterns (and what things usually win out) better than the national forecast models.

None of them are reliable. On Thanksgiving Day it went from 100% chance of severe weather to storms to isolated to nothing in a matter of hours. It didn't rain a drop on us, in fact the sun was out. We almost canceled our plans, too!

It shouldnt be in my opinion.

Regardless of what the forecast says, always, ALWAYS bring your bathing suits and a couple pairs of shorts don't wake up that much room in the suitcase.

Pack for the lowest of the lows, pack for the highest of the highs.

I use the Dark Sky app. It notifies me of any rain/precipitation is starting and when it will end. I find it pretty accurate.

For winter trips to central FL, you really do need to pack for both warm and cold weather. This time of year is notorious for wild, not-always-predictable temperature swings.

I usually start checking the local Orlando NBC affiliate's website (WESH) at ten days out. Any earlier than that and it's completely useless. I check it daily, and by the night before the trip, it's usually nailed down well enough to know how to pack. The week before, I had foolishly thought I'd need long-sleeves, jeans, and maybe a hoodie just in case. I hadn't even planned on shorts or a chance at the pool. Wound up being in the mid-80's every day. Glad I kept checking and put off packing!
