Really wanna try Morroco...would love opinions. Also what you ate. Not many pics from there through the thread so if you please have any, I would love to see them. TIA.

We ate here last November for lunch and really liked it. DH said it was one of his favorite restaurants that trip. I can only remember what I had which was the beef shish-ka-bob and it was very good. Not very spicy. The service was excellent. There was a band and belly dancer that performed for about twenty minutes and the tile work was really beautiful. :)

The menu on DIS is newer than allearsnet.com.

We looked at the picture book they have at the Host station and the food looked good and I had it booked for a long time but we ditched it for Raglan Road...too many iffy reviews lately

We ate there on 9/24.Dh had the Nights in Casablanca, and I had the Chicken Kebabs. Both dishes were delicious, and well prepared. The dishes were not overly spicy.I have had spicier Morroccan in NYC .Will definitely go back.My dd loved the belly dancer.

We ate in Morocco at Restraunt Marrakesh and it was really great. I can't remember exactly what I had but I do remember
1. The themeing is gorgeous
2. It was August, and almost empty, which was a nice break.
3. The food was great.
4.The service was fantastic.

MY DH went in July using DDP. We loved the food. We didn't even like our CM. He showed up for our order and our drink and to give us our bill. Another CM actually explained the foods to us. The people on either side had great service. They brought our bread, our refills and our food and thank goodness one noticed we didn't get any dessert. Our CM put the bill on the table and pointed out exactly where we needed to mark down the tip. That was the extent of it. We missed out on paying $5 additional to get the sampler type meal. I forget what it was called. It would have been worth it. We only knew about it after we ordered and heard a CM beside us explain it to the other people. This was actually the only time during our visit where we did not have good service from our CM.

On the flip side, we had extremely good service at the French rest. She was very patient with our teen girls, who went with us and didn't have a clue what they wanted. We never got even low on drinks. We had to ask the manager how to pay her tip with our kttw card because she left that off the bill completely. We thought maybe we had to pay cash and asked the manager. Nope. Not at all. He called her over and asked her about it and she said she felt uncomfortable doing it because she felt she was demanding a tip. We ended up leaving more for her than any other we had.

We tried this for the first time last Oct. and I'm ready to go back. I had the Couscous with lamb shank and it was delicious! I 'll get it again, definitely. It was melt in your mouth yummy! The Harira soup is amazing and all 5 in my family loved it. I dont remember what the others had, but we all liked what we got. The atmosphere here is wonderful, and the restaurant is gorgeous inside. My then 4yo DD loved the belly dancer! I highly recommend trying Marrakesh at least once!:thumbsup2

The restaurant is drop-dead gorgeous. A fine experience. The food is a good, depending on what you are used to. Lamb shank and seafood b'stilla (this is like a pie) are quite good, no matter what your standards. If you can get good kabobs where you live, then these might be disappointing, not fresh. This place is too much of a factory to deliver a fresh kabob consistently. Not even sure if they have chicken-on-the bone, for example.

The counter service Tangerine Cafe has a different menu than the formal dining room.

We went their last August. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the service did not blow me away and I have had better food. Don't get me wrong - the food is regular fare, but it looked like it had been thrown onto the plate and no one cared about how it looked. It was not spicey at all.
The desserts were very good though.
If you want to see photos, they are in my food review - the link is in my signature.

We ate at Marrakesh in January and to be very honest, it was probably our least favorite meal in the 10 days we were at Disney. The restaurant is very crowded - tables are right on top of each other. Though the entertainment was nice for a while, the music was so loud that we could not even carry on a conversation across the table. The food was marginal. Nothing was outstanding and we felt it needed a little more spice/flavor. The whole experience was good, I just don't think it will be on our list of restaurants to go back to at Epcot.

You guys are the best thanks! Now that I have so many mixed reviews...what else do you suggest and what did you order that made you love it. We are already going to Canada and Coral Reef there. Did not have good service in the past in France..won't discount it but just curious as to others opinions and what meal made them feel that great about the food. TIA again!

We went in May & had the same experience. On our next trip, its already been requested by everyone in the family. I'd suggest going at lunch instead of dinner. I lkie the selection better. The Sultan Sampler comes w/ a sample of the appitizer, get the beef. Also, make sure you get the dessert sampler. So good. We're actually getting 2 to share between 4 people. That's how good the dessert is. Our waiter was amazing, I asked about customs & what they would drink w/ dessert & he gave me a suggetion of a mint drink. Okay, I'm ready to go back right now.

We just returned from our WDW trip and DH and I dined at Marrakesh for our anniversary dinner. It was very good! I had the chicken kebabs which were very flavorful. The couscous was a bit dry, but I just mixed the sauce from the kebabs with it and it was then fine. Dh had the Roast Lamb Meshoui and enjoyed that as well. For dessert, I had the assorted baklava. Although the portion was small, it was so good and rich. DH had the bastilla and said it was possibly the best dessert he had all week. Here are some pics. Sorry that the dishes are half eaten by the time I took the photos.

Sorry no pics of dessert. I was planning on taking pics of all of our food, but just forgot part of the time.

BTW, service was absolutely wonderful. Our drinks stayed full, meal out promptly, and very friendly. Ahmed, I believe was his name, was willing to answer any questions DH had for him about the food, music, ect.

ETA: I was concerned about the bad reviews on here and even minutes before our ADR time, I was contemplating on changing to something else as we were at Guest Services and the available restaurant list right in front of us. I'm so happy that we tried it for ourselves and we will definitely be going back on our next trip.

Someone mentioned that all the food was just thrown together on a plate. Well, that's kind how it is in the Middle East. And cous cous is normally a little on the dry side (anywhere) & you did just what you were suppose to, ate it w/ the juice from the meat dish. Yum! I had Indian food once & it was the same way. And we ate everything w/ bread instead of silverware. LOL Its defintely worth trying it once & if its not your cup of tea, then don't go again. But, I think here you have to decide for yourself if you like the food, customs, etc. In Epcot, the restaraunts have Americanized the food. So, you might not get authentic, but you'll get an idea of what its kinda like. LOL Just have to say, I LOVE IT HERE & can't wait to go back.

We haven't been in awhile, but did go in 2005 and HATED it. Seriously, the worst meal ever we had in Disney. It was 5pm, so normal dinner time, and it was like a library. The dancer was there for not even 5 min, the band played maybe 10, the server was rude and the food was blah. I don't think we'd ever give that one another chance.

We ate at Marrakesh a few weeks ago. We really enjoyed the restaurant. The food was good. There were a few things I didn't care for, but that was my taste not there cooking. Our service was great, probably the best service all week. Our DD was making friends with all the staff that came by our table, one even wrote her name for her. And even at lunch they had the belly dancer out. Very nice experience all around.

We originally had reservations at our resort on the day we decided to try something new at Epcot. We chose Marrakesh and were skeptical at first, but it was really good. I really enjoyed this place. Tangierine Cafe (CS) also became my favorite Epcot CS location.
In the front they have a table with a little album that has pictures and captions of all the dishes.
