Moving floors before and after rides

Sometimes my DH and I have issues with getting on and off rides when there is a moving floor. We both use canes for stability and find it's kind of tough and get a bit anxious maneuvering these areas. Is there something we could ask from the CM to make it easier for us? Usually WDW is one of the few places where we use canes due to all the walking involved.

I know on Haunted Mansion you can ask them to stop the moving walkway. I believe you can do that on most rides except maybe Peter Pan (I have heard that one is an issue so we didn't even try).

I only have first hand experience with the Haunted Mansion though.

I manage to get on HM okay but getting off is a challenge. Last year, a CM took my arm and assisted me two steps to the solid floor. Trying to place the left foot on a moving platform and getting the other off the ride without tripping does give me some anxiety. I would ask the CM prior to boarding what they can do to help.
