Taking a quick trip in a couple weeks, and noticed the Morimoto is always available. This was never the case a couple years ago--so did quality or service go down--or is this just a result of so many newer places opening up?? Never been there, and was thinking about taking one of the reservations, but I'm a little concerned why it is so available all the sudden?

I went to Morimoto once and it was meh. Not awful but not amazing either. Food was okay and service was good. I am a little biased since I live in an area with fantastic Asian restaurants so Morimoto wasn't that impressive to me. I also think there's a lot of competition in Disney Springs and people tending to book the more popular restaurants like Boathouse and Homecoming.

We went once as well and the price is just not worth it. It's no better than my local Asian restaurant, but quadruple the price with small portions. It's not that the food is bad by any means, just not worth it IMO.

I have to vouch for Morimoto, I absolutely loved it. I thought the venue was gorgeous, the food was a 10 and even though it was pricey it was the best meal we had that week (January of LY). I've been to the one in Vegas at the MGM Grand as well and it's tremendous. One of my favorite spots.

I can't remember, did they take DDP? If they did and DDP is now not available, it might dissuade people from going.

I like Morimoto fine, although I have been to four of his restaurants and the Disney location is my least favorite of the four. As for availability, I'm not sure. It is always busy when I go there

It's hard to tell about availability with many of the DS restaurants as they can also be booked through Open Table. In fact, when WDW shows limited or no availability, I always check Open Table. Often there are many reservations available, at better times than WDW dining shows... and no cancellation fee!

We celebrated my son’s birthday there in May. Food and service were excellent. It was our first time there and we agreed that we would definitely return. The sushi was delicious and theburibop was excellent. The duck ramen,at nineteen bucks, is a great value. I say go for it.

No quality changes at Morimoto. Availability varies depending on time of day, the month/season. It is an excellent restaurant.
