Hey all! We are huge fans of the Morimoto Asia restaurant and we have a dinner there almost every trip. My husband LOVES the ribs, but $18 for 3 (plus tip, it would be a little over $20) feels unreasonable.

Has anyone tried the Morimoto Asia Street Food version of the ribs ($10) to see if they're any different? They have the exact same menu description but one is nearly half the price. I'm thinking of asking my husband to grab an order of ribs a half hour before our reservation so he can have his app first and save us ~$10.

If no one has tried this, we may try to sneak off to Disney Springs for lunch earlier in our week to test it out (and possibly grab a few orders to fill our resort fridge with snacks lol).

Heck of a way to save $10. I would never even consider getting a fast food app before a nice dinner (let alone asking a loved one to do so) to save a few $, but you do you!

Literally thanks for nothing! :-) My husband loves the ribs, excited about the potential to save a few bucks (because we're a military family and not made of money, thanks very much), and as I said before, the plan is if it's the exact same dish that we're going to pick up a few orders earlier in our trip so he could snack on them during the week as well. The ribs are the main reason my husband wants to even go to the restaurant!

If I were to guess (b/c I haven't had the street food ones), the description of the sit down ribs are "spare" ribs while the street food ones are "baby" ribs (not to be confused with baby back ribs), so I'd expect the smaller spare ribs are given to the street food section while the larger ones are saved for the restaurant (since not every rib is the same size on a rack of ribs)...

The ribs might be smaller from the Street Food section but they tasted the same to me and were delicious.
