well more info is on Websleuths. An email was sent out (either the father owns or works for the compnay) that alluded to the fact that it was their daughter. There were identifying bracelets and clothes as well.

watching the press conference now. Based on the evidence the found they feel it is in fact Morgan. Of course they can't say with 100% that its her without an autoposy. But based on what was found with the body, they strongly feel its her.

I live right outside of Charlottesville, so have obviously been following this since October. I just feel horrible about the whole thing, even though my only connection is location. I'd be driving home some days looking around the roads wondering, is Morgan's body back in there somewhere. I saw many police/K9 searches those first few weeks. So sad.
Here is an article from one of our local independant papers with some addition info I haven't seen in the previous articles:
No big news, but some of the information @ this URL stood out to me...
From the article itself...
Bass told C-VILLE that there is "no real history of trespassing" on his property, which county records show he has owned since 1985. ... the location where it is found is not accessible by car.
Given the news reports of the very remote location of where she was found, the person(s) [responsible] ... probably knew this farm area very very well.
Very very sad days. I suppose there is some comfort for her family and friends in just the knowing, but it certainly is a cold comfort.
agnes!
ETA: Dannielle_1 - Thanks for that link. The Hook has certainly been first with a lot of the news on this entire case and they have provided much more detail than other news-outlets.
News report about the case from WTOP in Washington, the Harrington family thinks the perpetrator is local to the Charlottesville area. The Harringtons held a candlelight vigil in Roanoke Friday evening.
Scary, sad times.
My sympathies go out to the Harrington family and Morgan's friends.
How terribly sad. I was wondering about this case a few weeks ago because I hadn't heard anything in months. My prayers are with her family and I hope she is at peace.
Today is the 10 year anniversary of Morgan's disappearance and murder.
This story has always been heavy on my heart, as I live in the Charlottesville area, and actually worked at Uva during this time. And still, as my DD is now a 20 year-old junior at VT, same as Morgan was. In fact, she is the VP of the Help Save The Next Girl chapter there. HSTNG is the organization that Morgan's mother started in honor of her daughter.
For those who may not know, Morgan's killer was identified, tried and convicted, unfortunately not before he abducted and murdered another young girl, Uva student, Hannah Graham, in 2014.
My prayers go out to these young ladies' families.
