More updated Fastpass+ information

Is it posted someone that they are talking about it being tiered. Making sure I didn't miss something. :)

I believe all test runs were tiered*, which is why I'm suspicious that the final product will be also.

* Tiered as in attraction tiers, not resort-level tiers (which is also something to watch).

The way I read it, the "new information" is born out of very recent meetings with CMs regarding the system. Not fact, not necessarily true, but not something to dismiss entirely either. Just another piece of the unofficial puzzle in the absence of official announcements.

I know I sound crazy-unreasonable and all.

I won't either. That's just taking planning a step too far. I like to plan and all but this leaves no room for spontaneity once you're in the park.

Same here, iv already been told by the BF that he doesnt want every second planed out, he thinks making a ADR is to much planning :rotfl2: But even for me fastpass plus is a bit to much!

Oh, I was thinking resort tier. Didn't even think about the attraction tiered.

Both may coexist for a short time...
Maybe.

We don't know if guests can get additional FP's the day-of at the parks in addition to
the reserved FP+.

Do you think it is (relative) safe to say that if this awful thing rolls out by summer, both method of fastpass will be working side by side in July?

We are going the 1st week in June. I know it's anyone's guess but what do yall think? Do you think it'll be up and running by then?

... this leaves no room for spontaneity once you're in the park.

Since we'll apparently only be able to reserve EITHER Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, OR Thunder Mountain; Mickey or Princess M&G; and Peter Pan OR Dumbo (just examples... I know there will be other options, but all the news points to the choices being very limited), we'll have lots of spontaneity. Unfortunately, all of it will involve standing in the long stand-by lines.

IF you can attain more FP+ in the park while you're there, then perhaps this could be an enhancement to the current FP system. But IF you only get those few measly FPs and you have to waste 2/3 of them on things that you wouldn't normally even need a FP for, then this will be a huge step backwards for MANY of us who use FP extensively.

Even with the window enforcement, you still currently have the option and ability to ride ALL the headliners in every park and many of the second tier attractions without EVER waiting in a standby line. How is taking that away an improvement?!?!?!?!

But, there is still no word on the rumored name-change to

Fabulous Pass ~

Robo, if you don't stop sticking your tongue so firmly into your cheek, one of these days it's going to end up permanently stuck there! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

~Really, Robo. I love this, I can't wait for fastpass +, & it is every bit of fabulous! I really hope those people who hate this, have luck finding another place to vacation! I just love Disney World!
:goodvibes

Really? Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I have yet to see anything remotely fabulous about this whole FP+ business. Needing to decide months in advance when I want to ride a superheadliner. Being limited to only 3 FPs per day. The possibility that these may be tiered, so I might only be able to FP 1 headliner each day. Where is this fabulosity of which you speak?

As for finding another place to vacation- I can think of hundreds of places where I can have a fabulous time without being tied to a rubber bracelet. After this year's trip, I may very well be exploring these other options.

Is that really any new information? It looks like they're reporting on a thread from their message boards. Sorry, but I just don't consider that to be a reliable source of information. Plus, it doesn't give any new information--we still know that it's three reservations you can make in advance, and that changes can be made while you're in the parks. How is this new or updated?
.........According to Cast Members who have been briefed on the system earlier this week......
.That site is usually very reliable.

I'm torn...obviously being able to reserve fireworks viewing places and major attractions ahead of time would be nice...but I don't think it would be worth it if you only get 3 per day! I know we use more than that per day and would not want to limit ourselves to 3. I'll be interested to see how this all rolls out because I just can't believe they'd do away with the current FP system when it works so well...:confused3 There's gotta be something that we're not hearing that'll make this new FP+ system worth it!

This is true. Perhaps I shouldn't have said there's NO room for it. I just don't like the idea of knowing weeks before hand that on 10/24 ill be riding splash mt at noon, ya know?

Good for you! I love everything about FP+, and I am looking forward to my fabulous Disney vacation, with my fabulous rubber bracelet. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion -- just like I am entitled to mine. Please understand that we are not all the same, and we don't have to like the same things. So, please respect my opinion, as I am respecting yours. Disney has not released anything final on FP+, it's all speculation at this point -- so forgive me for not partaking in the "doom & gloom." FP+ compliments the way I like to vacation. I am not a huge fan of the current FP system, so I am looking forward to the new FP+. Again, have fun and good luck exploring your other options and I'll keep planning my fabulous Disney vacation! Thank you!

All indications thus far (including the Terms & Conditions) are FP+ can be selected for only one park per day.

Ah! Good thing I read through the posts before asking my question about how this works with Park-hoppers! Honestly, my family isn't very good with attaining many fastpasses (Truly admire those who are [were] expert FP collectors! :worship:) so the three a day will be alright for us. Been keeping an eye for when it'll actually go into effect! Thanks

If the 3 per day is official, that beyond sucks. For those of us that like to make tour plans and like to always have a fastpass in hand for the next headliner this is not enough. I always fastpass all 3 mountains in MK as well as Peter, Dumbo, Barnstormer, JC, and Buzz. And sometimes fp the mountains more than once... What was wrong with the having one fastpass at a time until your next window or every 2 hours? I am not liking the sound of this at all. At first it sounded a little intriguing about being able to "reserve" a certain spot for the parades and fireworks, but not if it limits how many of my favorites I can ride each day. We usually either do 1 day or 1 1/2 days per park so we try to get the most out of it each day. We are not able to take 10 day trips more like 5 or 6 days at the most.

There's no point in getting too excited about all this until the company actually officially releases specifics.
