What would attract trolls to 'the Dis' ?

Goodness knows there are no shortage of controversial, opinionated, mean-spirited message boards out there, I'm sure they offer 'troll food' aplenty.

But, to my way of thinking there's so little to really disagree with or get upset over on these boards. I'm hard-pressed to think of a nicer group of people than the DIS 'regulars'. What would possess someone to get so PO'd on these boards ?

Ahh, well. Aninimity brings out the worst in some people, I suppose.

The sad thing about wdwoner is that he wasn't a dumb guy by any means. I read most of his threads and sometimes he would actually make some decent points, it just seemed he got a little meaner/angrier over time.

I remember he posted in a thread not too long ago that his father had suffered a stroke and was in the hospital, so maybe he is going through a rough time.

Gee don't you guys think that people would have more in their lives than to look for confrontation and stress? I think that we have all disagreed with the cast based on any combination of reasons.....as Kevin says "it is his opinion?

There are lots of organizations that need volunteers, me thinks these trolls should find something more productive to do with their time.

I have tried very hard to find some common ground.

It seems that's impossible.

When it was announced that his Dad was ill, people were supportive and caring. I personally sent him my prayers and wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

This was met with more vitriol and venom and the use of aliases.

I wish him the best.
