wdwowner is now posting under the name Clique

If you see the name PodcastFactCheck....that's him too.

He has been reported.

DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS.

I assumed he was somebody the other day. I meant to let you guys know. Ty for the tip. Can't you guys do a ISP ban??

Thanks Kevin I have seen the clique name.
Not the other. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

So much wasted energy. I don't get it. :sad2:

Makes you wonder... was he not hugged enough as a child and are you really that bored and have that much free time on your hands

tisk tisk...what would cause someone to do things like this?

Hate to say that I don't know but what are trolls? Is this guy posting bad things on the board? I'll be on the lookout for him.

The odd and sad thing is, if we met him in person and had a face-to-face conversation with him, we might find that he could be an okay person.

I had an all-day workshop today on "community building". Learned that we need to talk to people who we disagree with, who with think are our enemies. People are like faceted jewels. There is a least one facet where we can match up and find common ground, even if we don't agree with other facets of the person.

Seems a shame that here in the DIS community we were not able to find that facet.

Let's continue to be the kind and sharing and friendly community we know we are. :flower3:

One of the hardest things in the world to do is not feed the trolls.

I have learned on my local newspaper and tv sites that when I come to the end of the story, STOP READING! There are people out there who, when given a computer screen to work from, turn into monsters. I was reading a perfectly lovely article in the NY Times the other day about the White House garden, and one of the comments at the end caught my eye. It was perfectly awful! I actually punched the off button on the computer to keep myself from turning the afterburners on and flaming away.

I don't know what the the moderators prefer for us to hit the report button when we see a troll coming out from under the bridge, or to just ignore the thread and let it die?

There have been so many times I've wanted to post, but I figure that keeping the thread alive is like feeding the troll and keeping it's behavior alive. I mostly lurk here, but I love reading the boards. It's a wonderful escape, and there's so much laughter. I love 'em!

Kevin - whatever your next restaurant review is, I hope you hit the jackpot. You deserve a lovely meal for all the crap you've dealt with!

I almost feel sorry for him at this point. Getting this worked up about any internet message board can't be healthy...

Good luck with the troll swatting, Kevin.

This is EXACTLY what I'm attempting to maintain

Everyone is offered the same chance to be part of this kind, friendly and sharing community.

With that chance comes the responsibility to also be kind, friendly and sharing.

Thanks for giving me a chance to say that.

Thanks Kevin, I love the community that these boards are and love being a part of it. I'll be sure to not respond to trolls, even though it's sometimes difficult not to try and reason with them.

Oh... Oooo... Oh... Pick me... Me... I know.. Me... Me... Meeeeee...

Oh wait that's Shrek not Disney.

I do agree though with mainegal, as I think people do some crazy things on the Internet they might not do in 'real life'. The consequences are just not the same. It's like any attention is good as long as it's attention.

Strange but different strokes for different folks

Roy
