More than Once?

There's a very interesting thread about what restaurants you've been to once and will not visit again--One and Done.

My family tends to be "One and Done" for just about everything. There are SO many Disney restaurants, and so little time and money, haha, that rarely would we go back to the same restaurant twice, except for QS. We have loved most of our Disney dining experiences and at least liked all of them, but it would take a special place to make us return until we have tried them all (and I don't see that happening anytime soon).

One we continue to visit is Boma and I don't think we'll ever have enough of that. We also went to Biergarten twice because my daughter just loved it. We had such a great experience at The Plaza (which really surprised me) that I would go back. I would go back to CRT in a few years if my little niece wants to (I actually liked the food a lot!). We went twice to the Brown Derby but it was more out of convenience's sake the second time. I would also go back to Via Napoli even though there are still plenty of Epcot TS that I haven't tried.

There are also a few that we went for a certain meal and I'd like to try a different meal. We loved our GG breakfast and I'd like to try lunch or dinner.

Oh, and I would love to go back to Victoria & Albert's but i think that is a One and Done for us for different reasons!

I absolutely agree with Boma! It and AKL have a great vibe which carries over from AK, but provides a break from the parks.

My last trip, we didn't do many TS places, but there are a couple that we want to revisit on our next trip.

I know BOG gets mixed reviews on the food, but I do like it. I think the disappointment comes from some people who have much higher expectations of the food than what comes out. The decor is really good, though. The food could be better, but it's still fine.

R&C has a soft spot for me, because I love beers from England and Ireland. We are expanding Epcot a fair bit this next trip. I didn't think I gave that park enough time my last visit. The fish and chips are quite good here, too.

Mama Melrose is a skip, not because I didn't like it, but I want to see what else DHS has to offer.

My complete one and done is RFC. The decor is kid friendly, but very lacking in Disney theming. It's not owned by Disney, so I get that. But the food. Ugh. I rate it lower than Applebee's.

We have a couple of must-dos but the list expands greatly when we have friends tagging along. For just my family, Raglan Road is the biggie. We always make a point of going one evening for the music as much as for the food. But this next trip is almost all repeats because DS is bringing his SO and wants to show her a bunch of his favorites - California Grill, Raglan Road, 50s Prime Time, Yachtsman. Only Tiffins, Spice Road (w/o DS - he's going on a "date night" to another favorite, Rose & Crown), and Sanaa are new to us.

As much as I like trying new places, I have to admit we've reached a point where we're running out of convenient new places to visit. Other than Skipper's Canteen and Tiffins, which both opened since our last trip, we've tried every table service in 3 of 4 parks (well, except Hollywood & Vine which I have less than zero interest in) and most of the interesting/unique QS in those same parks. We've tried most of the resort restaurants in the MK and Boardwalk areas too. So our quest to try new places has stalled out a bit, just from reliance on Disney transportation and disinterest in spending much time at Disney Springs.

Happy Repeats for us -

TS - Sanaa, Morimoto's, Homecoming, CG, Trattoria al Forno
QS - Tangierine Cafe, Yorkshire Co. Fish Shop, DeLuxe Burger, CHH, Harambe Market
Drinks - La Cava, Nomad Lounge, Territory Lounge, Jock Lindsey's Hanger Bar, and hoping to replace High Octane Refreshments with the BaseLine Taphouse this November!

Raglan Road, Jiko, and Crystal Palace (breakfast only) are ones I have revisited. Raglan Road is one that is a "must do" for me on every single trip.

We're the opposite. We typically stick with the same places with one or two new places thrown in. TS repeats for us are 'Ohana, Cape May (breakfast and dinner), Via Napoli, Yachtsman, Frontera Cocina and Crystal Palace (lunch).

We have so many favorites that I have a hard time finding a place in our schedule to try a new place.

'Ohana is one we definitely do every trip

Other places we repeat are:
Biergarten
Cape May Dinner
Chef Mickey's breakfast

For us the frequent repeats are JIKO, California Grill, Flying Fish. We love to go to Raglan Road have a drink and listen to the bands play.

We tend to try to go to different places as much as possible. Our last trip we had a great meal at rose and crown that we decided to go back again this year. Also the very of the fireworks we amazing. Boma is another place that we would go back again every trip.

I think I'm going to have to try Raglan Road. People seem to rave about it. Is it the food or the atmosphere or both?

Our repeats in the last 5-6 years

Boma, Sanaa, Yak & Yeti, Tiffins, Be Our Guest, CRT, Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, Skipper Canteen, Akershus, San Angel Inn, Hacienda De San Angel, Garden Grill, 1900 Park Fare, Olivia's, Boathouse

Other repeats over a longer period of time
Hollywood Brown Derby, 50's Primetime Cafe, Hoop De Doo Revue

We keep doing repeats because they're so amazing but also try to fit in a couple new ones each trip too because that's how you discover new faves :)
Ones we've done more than once include - HDDR, Ohana, Trails End, Trattoria al Forno, 1900 PF, Via Napoli, Whispering Canyon, Homecomin, LTT
We tried Beaches and Cream this summer and loved it

TS - Ohana, California Grill, Kona, Chefs De France
QS - Pecos Bills, Sunshine Seasons, Wolfgang Puck Express
Drinks - Trader Sams, California Grill Lounge, Brown Derby Lounge, The place with the Grand Mariner Slush, Cava

I used to repeat Le Cellier and Coral Reef. Haven't been to either in a while though.

There are some I'd like to repeat but haven't had a chance to visit twice yet--Chefs de France, for one.

Oh, and last time I repeated Trader Sams twice in one trip. Hoping to do that again next time. ;)

Definitely have to love the variety of Disney restaurants! :) I think the only thing we plan on repeat-eating are the Dole Whips!

The last few trips my repeats have been: Spice Road, Garden Grill (dinner), and Teppan Edo. I do love Boma but haven't done it lately. It seems like the list changes every trip, for example during my upcoming November trip I'm not doing Garden Grill.

My favorite TS repeats are Tusker House and HDDR. I enjoy BOG too. I'd eat any meal there. I would eat at Spice Road Table again. They had great food and great service.
For QS, I enjoy Sunshine Seasons, Artisans L'glace, Les Halles, the Fish and Chip shop...I really enjoy Epcot's food ;)
One and done for me would be Cali Grill and Coral Reef, both due to absolutely horrible service and not super stellar food.

I think I'm going to have to try Raglan Road. People seem to rave about it. Is it the food or the atmosphere or both?

Both. The food is excellent and more than stands on its own if you go for brunch or lunch, but the atmosphere and live music with dancers in the evening make the experience really stand out. They have several regular bands, some more traditionally Irish and some more Celtic rock, and a island-stage in the middle of the main room where Irish dancers perform.

The menu is elevated pub food with a few outstanding specialties and a number of well-prepared classics like deep fried scallops (appetizer), fish & chips, and bangers & mash. Their shepherd's pie is a complex and slightly but not too different take on a standard comfort food dish, with a delicious red wine sauce and a perfect balance of meat and potato, and their bread pudding is to die for. We've enjoyed every meal we've had there - 3 or 4 dinners, 2 lunches, and brunch - but I do prefer going in the evening when the band and dancer are performing even though dinner "slots" on our itinerary are in shorter supply because so many of the signature restaurants we like are dinner only.

We're the opposite. We typically stick with the same places with one or two new places thrown in. TS repeats for us are 'Ohana, Cape May (breakfast and dinner), Via Napoli, Yachtsman, Frontera Cocina and Crystal Palace (lunch).

Frontera Cocina was amazing on our last trip. It is a definite repeat for us. We also frequently repeat Yachtsman, Ohana and Via Napoli.
