I think I post this same message every couple of months. Wahhhh! We went to our local Disney store today since we're going to Orlando again in June and 9/10th of the store had beautiful girlie princess dresses and accessories and there was hardly anything cute for my son. No Peter Pan costume. Not even a pirate costume. They only have them during Halloween time. I told my husband we might have to have another child just so I can dress her up in princess outfits and he said, "Yeah. But it will be another boy!" LOL.

My DW and I run into the same problem. We have 2 DD's, one is a princess and the other hates anything to do with princesses and dresses. We went to the Disney Store in potomac mills mall in VA and it's the same thing. Very little for boys (or girls who like boy stuff). We're looking at different sites online to try and find a pirate costume for DD, she wants to dress up for the P&PP.

I think of all the companies out there, Disney should surely have more things for boys! If you are a boy at Disney, the only choice you have is to be a pirate right now. My son's never saw the movie and are not into being pirates at all. I would love for them to have something special like the BBB. I guess they do give boys hair gel there or something. So what.

I have the same problem. I have 2 boys and don't plan to have anymore. I am sure it would just be another boy anyway. Walmart is the same way though. Just about all your stores are. You can find dresses galore, but only 1 or 2 suits for boys if you are very lucky. The dollar store that just opened up here has TONS of Disney Princess stuff and very little cars, pirates or buzz light year stuff.

You need to visit the Disney store at the mall near me. The whole back room and the whole right side of the store is all CARS, Pirates, Buzz, Power Ranger and "boys" clothes. When they had the good sale recently, they had three racks of sale boys clothes and 1/2 of a rack for girls.

Yep, I totally agree! I've never found nearly as many cool or cute things for DS, regular clothes, disney stuff or otherwise. Clothes and toys are shortchanged for boys at the Dis store. We've found some cute Cars tshirts but that's about it. I can find some stuff for DD8 but she's not a girly girl so even that is tough. DD14 is a girly girl but wears adult sizes & they don't carry much for her either (besides it's not really "cool" now at her age sadly).

I paid $40 w/Dis reward points for a big Power Ranger Zurg like guy(don't remember the actual name), it was electronic so I thought he'd be thrilled. Well, it makes this weird high pitched lazer noise & that's it. Nothing else & he doesn't like it, glad I didn't pay oop for it.

I don't shop much there unless I have points to spend because there is not much that works for our kids. I do like the pj & beach towel sales though but mainly buy those online.

What size is your son? I just happen to have a peter pan costume (from the Disney store) that both of my boys have long outgrown. We used to have the foam knife too but I'm sure that's seen better days.

I have almost the same situation with our 2 boys. They are 5 and 3. The 3 year old loves pirates and tough-boy things, but my 5 year old really isn't into pirates or "bad guys" or anything. He's very gentle and sensitive. It's been all we can do to find gentle boy things!

Oh, and by the way, he has a Mickey pirate hat on in my sig picture to the left, but the only reason was he liked the dangly part. LOL

Aww. That's nice of you, but I can find a Peter Pan costume online. :) I'm just annoyed that everything seems to geared for girls. I'm like...hey Disney...don't you want my money? LOL.

I have two older boys(teen+) and a younger one. There is hardly ever any boys stuff. At least recently, there is Pirates, Cars and Buzz. When my older boys were little everything was Ariel, Belle, Cinderella. They liked Alladin and Peter Pan but the costumes never thrilled them. I love my rough and tumble boys though and wouldn't trade them for all the princess costumes on the planet!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

There are rumors galore (in fact I think it was confirmed last week) that the Disney Store is being sold back to Disney by The Children's Place. Hopefully this should improve the problem about lack of boy stuff, and lack of decent quality stuff for girls and adults too. It's a drag that boys seem to be left out of the equation. Come to think of it, though, I didn't even see much for boy's costumes in WDW last month.

At our local disney stores--the girls stuff takes over about 3/4 of the store! It really drives me nuts because it's either Pirate, gun stuff etc!! I really want to see more boys stuff available. Why aren't there cute boy outfits!?!?! I keep wanting cute disney stuff for DS so hopefully they'll get a clue soon.

I completely agree! My Ds is currently obsessed with mickey mouse clubhouse. The disney stores by me are picking up this merchandising. However, they have tons of shirts and bathings suits for girls....but very little for boys. Also, my DS likes ALL of the charactes (including minnie and daisy) and god forbid you have a female character mixed in with all of the male characters on a "boys" shirt. :scared1:

With the new Narnia movie coming out, they will surely start selling costumes like they did with the first movie. I liked the gear they had and I think the costumes for the new movies are a bit darker (and cooler) than the earlier versions.

I hear you! You'd think with Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Playhouse Disney, they could have some more of those things for the boys! I buy every Handy Manny thing they come out with and I would buy more if it was available! How about a cute Handy Manny dress-up kit with his hat and tool belt and a pencil to put behind your ear? I got manny's tool box and that was lucky -- I can't find them in the store any more OR online. We have the two t-shirts that they came out with, but they could do SO much more. I hate the pirate stuff they have for little boys. My son is three, he isn't old enough to be into all that scary pirate stuff and I sure wouldn't let him watch the movies!

Were at Target over the weekend and they had 4 styles of cool Mickey t-shirts for our 2 year old. They were only $5 each. Your selection may vary.
