Actually, all the neighbors end up outside shoveling & talking. It's kinda nice after being stuck inside.

I'm from MA -- all my life. I know no other way.

We don't consider it BAD until ya get a 24" storm. I remember the Blizzard of '78 --- 36 INCHES!!! Roads closed for a whole week!!!!!!! So, really this 12" ain't too bad.

Ice storms are worse.

Or, when you get back to back big storms & ya start running out of places to put it.

We just came in from sledding with the neighborhood kids. We're covered with snow but are having a great time. Would send pics, but we're still 35mm fans.....

EEK!! We had just about that much last week....thankfully we've had more rain than snow this go-around and most of it's gone (although there's still plenty of chances for more over the next 4 days)

Your kitty looks exactly like my Chevy...who's ALSO planted in front of the fireplace most of the day

I'm in the same neck of the woods as Alex. Just a whole big bunch of rain. There is a small pond in our yard now. It did snow for about 45 minutes today, and we literally got a dusting. Now the temp is dropping, and everything is freezing. Gonna be hairy out there tonight. Everyone be careful!

Splsh: I love your pictures! I saw the ones of your entire condo, and I love that cabin room you've created. I also love the tile around your fireplace. Is that ceramic tile or what? Right now there is red brick around my fireplace and I'd love to update it with something, and I think your tile is very pretty.

To our warm-weather DISers:

As for the snow, when you live anywhere that gets snow on a regular basis, it's not all that big of a deal. The towns know how to plow, sand, and salt and they get started right away, so normally the streets are always clear no matter how much falls. I love the 4 seasons and wouldn't live anywhere else except the northeast!!
