Hi everyone,
I live in Mass and we are flying to Disney on Thursday. Guess what??? We are getting a big snow storm Thursday morning. Noooooo!!!! We are actually Driving to N.H. and flying out of Manchester which is even worse as they usually get more snow than Mass. Our flight was due to leave at 10:30a.m. The snow is due to arrive at dawn on Thursday. I made my husband call the airline and get an earlier flight. We got one! Leaves at 6:30am before the snow gets bad. No stop overs either. We had to pay extra for it but as long as we will make it to Disney I don't care. It's better than sitting in an airport snowed in!! Anyone else flying out from Mass on thurs???

I would probably stay near the airport if it were an option! Just the thought of missing a 6:30 AM flight would have me sleeping AT the airport!

Have a great time!!!

PS. I imagine the plane will be in NH for the night, so you don't have to worry about it getting there. That's always good to know.

Thursday you are going to arrive in Orlando to a projected high of 87 and a 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms. We are finally getting some very much needed rain -- already down nearly 6 inches this year after about 13 under last year.

I'm sick of all this snow . We better have a sunny and hot summer this year in the New England area !!!!!!!!!!

I actually spoke to two people today who are leaving tomorrow for Florida and thankful to be beating the snow!

Just don't want another snow day! If we do we have our last day of school on a Monday and it's a half day...plus it will be my last day as I'm leaving teaching at the end of the school year.

Where is SPRING?!!! At least the Red Sox won BIG today:)

Tracey

I wish all travelers the best of luck. There hasn't been any snow where I am except for a few flurries, but I sure am sick of the cold weather.

I know what you mean, we have family coming back from Florida (driving) and we went from maybe 2 - 4 inches to a storm warning and possibly 8 - 10 inches. We are really watching the weather now. Good luck to you!:yay:

We are also leaving Thursday from Kennedy at 4:30 but flying into Ft. Lauderdale to visit family first. We leave a day early to miss the Friday crowds. We are really hoping that the snow does not come farther south. It has snowed two out of the last three years on the day we depart for Florida (usually in March). This time Spring Break was moved from March to April and we figured we were golden but now we are really keeping our fingers crossed. The weather is really nuts up here in CT. We just need to sit in the sun for four days to build up on the vitamin C energy before going to Disney. Hope you have a great time.

JimC. Snow isn't supposed to start until around 6:00 am. We originally had a flight leaving at 10:30am. We called and switched our flight to 6:30am. When we drive to NH, it will be so early and no one will be on the roads, and we'll beat the snow (fingers crossed). If we had kept our original flight, no way would we make it out as scheduled. If I'm going to be delayed, I'd rather be delayed on the way home!! Almost time for the 11:00 news. Gotta catch the latest weather report!

Boston5602, I'm with you, sick and tired of all this snow!!! It's April, it shouldn't be in the 40's with wind chill in the 30's! I see that you have a trip coming up to look forward to as well. It will be here before you know it!

Southern Maine here and we are gonna get the storm, too! We don't leave for another three weeks, so this won't affect our travel plans. But last week's storm barely delayed planes, and that was pretty huge. There were delays, sure, but things got off the ground, so I think you will be ok.

Pixie dust your way! And we are preparing for our SECOND snow day in APRIL!

DH works in Manchester---5 min. from the airport and just checked the predictions for the storm. The flurries will just be starting at dawn. So with a 6:30 am flight, you should be in great shape...exhausted, but out of New England and on your way to our favorite place! :goodvibes

Chicago here and we are getting the weather today that is expected for you tomorrow. Cold, windy and a mixture of slush, snow and rain. What a mess. I am tired of winter also. Woke up to about an inch of thick wet snow on my car.:confused3 Good luck in getting out tomorrow, which I was going with you!

Another NH person sick and tired of the snow as well. The airport in Manchester has a hotel close by that does the sleep/park/shuttle thing if you want to go over tonight. Thay way you don't have to get up as early and not have to worry about driving at all. We almost always take the early flight on Jet Blue from Logan and we always go down the night before just to make things as stress free as possible, I always worry about a flat tire, or an accident on rte 1 or something delaying us.

Good luck and have a great trip

Hi MagikMom
We are leaving Thursday morning from Logan - we have a 7:20 flight. Hopefully, we will beat the snow. According to the weather last night, it's suppose to be turning to rain along the coast, so I'm hoping we won't get delayed. Have a wonderful safe flight.

I guess you are going to have to deal with either over the next two day ewwwwwwww!

I am leaving Monday morning From Green off to DL ca and we will be leaving yet anougher SNOW issue again

At least the snow will not effect my stop over in Vegas

I'm sick of all this snow . We better have a sunny and hot summer this year in the New England area !!!!!!!!!!

I hope not! Why add on the torture of a cold spring with a hot summer? If it were 80-85 all summer here in NE, I would be estactic!

Also, we are just paying the piper for the warm early winter we had (it didn't get cold until mid-January!)

Well, Boston, what's it like, this is Thursday!
Bobbi
