Whispering Canyon (WL cafe) B food A- atmosphere
What a fun place to eat. If you do not like corny loud interactive restaurants....stay away!
Breakfast skillet DH had first morning....just OK
I had french toast. very good and 6 pieces was too much, comes with apples
next morning DH had a omellete which he said was good and I had oatmeal which was good.
Better behave in the canyon; or you will find yourself out in the main lobby riding a stick pony; apologizing to everyone for misbehaving in the canyon. And don't forget to ask for catsup!
California Grill: A Great view of Fireworks PS 7:30pm $80 with drinks
DH and I shared sushi (the best we have ever had), beef tenderloin (grilled to perfection, cut it with a fork). Parsnip and Apple soup with duck (sounds weird but was fantastic)
Dessert: DH lava cake and this time i got the creme brulee; coconut; the best we had at WDW. This restaurant was very crowded and noisy but we set in the wine room, which was very quiet and romantic with the skyline view.
Garden View Tea at the Grand Floridian A+
Awesome! I love a good tea room.
DH had the Prince Edwards tea which was pate's of duck, chicken with stilton cheese and marinated fruits. he has a raspberry fusion of tea and a Drambuie cordial. He also got to scones with clotted cream and jam.
I got the Buckingham Palace: which had tea sandwiches of watercress, chicken salad, salmon spread, egg salad, stilton and walnuts. 1 scone and 2 pastries. I also ordered a Mimosa to drink and a side of strawberries and cream. My tea was the Garden view special blend. $50 total with the extras (but I waited all year for this!)
Flying Fish A- was our favorite, but was very noisy this time around and the salmon was not the best. $100 with 2 drinks (little expensive)
DH Oysters (deep fried, he liked them better last time as they were on a half-shell----but he he liked these too)
Salmon dinner (OK, too full after the oysters)
Myself: crab cakes. 90% crab with a kick of jalepenos GREAT
Lobster salad: endive, tangerines, lobster and a buttery, citrus dressing (now how could you go wrong with that)
Dessert: chocolate souffle with Frangelico sauce
How could I forget Cinderella's Royal Table A- $60
DH and i both had the prime rib and aspargus soup. I did not like the onions they put in my mashed potatoes. Otherwise was good. Dessert: banana creme brulee (carmalized bananas on top) DH the sundae with hot fudge, mickey sprinkles and the chocolate crown) The atmosphere here brought the meal from a B to a A-. We hide out here until MNSSHP started and walked out into the Philarmagic show.
