Hi everyone. Iam just starting to wonder!
If anyone out there is having a dessert party, are you having a wedding cake?
I'm just thinking, we're coming from the uk, and all that lovely cake is going to be totally wasted! Idon't know whether you can get a tiny cake ( just for tradition!)
By the way where is Ariels situated? We are getting married in the white hall room @gf, but i was looking the other day, and really like the look of ariels.
Question 3 ! Where would you reccomend to stay for the rest of your stay? i'd love the gf or poly, but just think its going to be too expensive, we are going to have our children with us, (3), although im hoping our family are going to offer to take them out a bit!(as much as i love them!)
B grateful for any replies, thanks!:thumbsup2

We are having a dessert party and we are having a cake. We will have our cake at the reception (11am-4pm) and then just have desserts at the dessert party. My personal reasoning for this is I LOVE CAKE! I couldn't skip on the cake. I just can't. I plan (haven't told this to DF), to actually work on eating the "anniversary" layer while we are still at Disney. I figured it will make a yummy breakfast.

Ariel's is at the Beach & Yacht Club. That is where our reception will be. I feel in love with the look as well.

As far as where to stay...it depends on your taste. We will be staying at the Boardwalk before the wedding and the Grand Floridian and Contemporary after the wedding. Places that I recommend...for a moderate, I loved the Port Orleans French Quarter. I thought it was incredibly romantic and a great price tag! For Deluxes, in recent times, I have only stayed at the Boardwalk, but I love it there. It is a cheaper deluxe than the Poly. Also, if you like animals, the ANimal Kingdom Lodge would be a great place. AKL runs cheaper than the Poly!

Good luck! I can't wait to see what you decide!

I had my reception at Ariel's and it was amazing. We have some great pictures of us dancing through the fish tank. You might want to check on a "groom's cake" if you want a small cake. My dh insisted on having carrot cake instead of any of the flavors of our wedding cake! They made him a small replica of our larger wedding cake. We had our wedding at the Wedding Gazebo so we stayed at the Yacht Club. This is a great resort for kids because of the large swimming pool. It was also close to EPCOT and MGM. If you have a large group wanting to stay together, the Villas at the Beach Club might be a cost effective option.
