More Memory Maker plus FastPass ??

Sorry, these may have been asked but I cannot find how to search the boards for past threads anymore!

We have already purchased memory maker but this is all new since we last were there....

Memory Maker
1) With Memory Maker, is it only "attached" to the lead guests magic band or is it on all those travelling--in other words, do we all have to stick together to get photos taken and put in to our Memory Maker or can some family members venture off and get their own pics added?
2) How does it work....can you print photos off in the parks, if so, where and is it really time consuming?
3) Are you able to print them when at home or do you have to order them all from Disney?
4) What happens if you notice you have someone else's pictures? Would they be able to locate the correct pics or are those just "lost" forever?

2) If we can we get more fastpasses, can we use the MDE app on our phone or do they have kiosks still within the parks?

The person who purchases the Memory Maker is the one who has the ability to edit and download all of the photos taken. You can share it with other people to help reduce costs. To do this, you have to add them as friends & family. Then they scan their band after pictures and their photos are available on their MDE and yours. You will need to give them your log-in information for them to go in and edit and/or download their own photos. You have 45 days after the photo was taken to download the photos.

You can acquire a 4th fastpass, via the kiosks, after you have used your first 3.

1. Anyone you are linked to can add their pictures to the MM by scanning their magic bands with the photographer.
2. I wouldn't print photos off in the park. I'm sure that could be done, but it makes most sense just to wait until you get home, log into the memory maker website, and download or order prints off the website.
3. You can download your pictures and then have them printed by whoever you choose.
4. I would just report that you have someone else's pictures. I'm not sure how that would go because I never had to do it.

I recall the pictures were free to download (apart from the initial fee, of course) and if you had Disney print them they were quite a bit more expensive than another printing website like snapfish or shutterfly. There's a small chance I am just forgetful, but I'm pretty sure they were free to download.

FP questions
1. Yes, once you use your first 3 up you can get more FP
2. You have to go to a kiosk. the MDE app cannot grant extra daily FP.

Looks like you've got good answers. Just to clarify, with MM, you have purchased unlimited downloads of all your pictutes for one price of $169. These include all ride photos and any photo taken by a Disney photographer throughout the parks and prior to certain character meals. All people listed as your Family and Friends in your MDE account who also have the selection marked "this person can view and purchase my photos" will be able to scan their magic band at a photographer or ride a ride (no scanning necessary) to get their picture to show up in your account. If your friends also have MDE accounts, they will be able to view all these photos, too, but only the MM purchaser can save edits (like adding stickers and borders) and download the files.

When you download the photos (which you must do within 45 days of the date each was taken or else they disappear from your account) you'll also get a copyright release that allows you to order prints anywhere you like (Walgreens, shutterfly, snapfish, etc)

If you think you are missing any photos, there in a phone number you can call or a report button on the MM page. They are good at locating missing photos especially if you can describe the location, approximate time, and people in the picture.

That is not my understanding. In the document about sharing the memory maker, that is the drawback... only the person whose name the MM is under will have their ride photos show up.

I can personally attest to the fact that my in-laws' ride pictures showed up in my account without me being on the ride.

Good news! Slickpoetry is right - Everyone who is linked will have their ride photos show up, whether the purchaser is with them on the ride or not. Its what i was told by the CM when i purchased, it did work that way for my extended family of 12 who often rode in all kinds of mixed up sub-groups, and it's what I read on all the MM threads here.

A weird "glitch" we experiened was that all members of our group had their photos captured, all members could see everyones posed pictures when they logged in to their own MDE accounts, BUT only the MM purchaser could see all the ride photos from his own login. We got all the pics & the purchaser downloaded them all, but non-purchasers weren't able to see the ride photos online. From other MM posts I've read, I think this was an isolated quirk.

That is incorrect. As long as you have it set up properly, everyone's ride photos will show up, even if they ride without the primary person who the MM is under. I bought MM and shared with my friend, and we had no problems with ride photos when we rode separately, or when she scanned her band on character meets when I was not there.

This is correct. You will get a picture for everybody in your party, even if you ride together - giving you have multiple identical photos.

There are two separate things, really. There is the Photopass service and there is Memory Maker, which is a product you can purchase after using the Photopass photographers. You can also pre-purchase Memory Maker before your trip and get a discount. When you purchase MM, you are then entilted to unlimited downloads of those photos that you had taken at any PP photogs, ride photos and videos. Once you download the photos, you use that entitlement, so while you can check and see the photos are there during your trip, I would wait until you come home before you download your photos. You can then take those digital photos and have them printed at Walmart, or use shutterfly, or any other place you'd like. When you check your photos while there and see some missing, you can always call and give the, the time and where you rode or had the photos taken and most times they will find them for you.
