More Magic Band Questions

I apologize in advance if these questions have already been answered..

We are going to be in Disney Nov 9-16 and are staying at the Polynesian.
I know that they are testing the Magic Band with guests staying here but does
EVERYONE who is staying there get to do it or do they just pick random families? I have checked in my Disney Experience and there is still nothing about customizing our bands.. Do you know how many days out from your trip you find out? We did go thru a travel agency and our pay off day is next Wednesday... Could this be why we haven't heard anything about the Magic Bands yet? Because we haven't paid off our trip yet?? Any help or info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in Advance.

We got our notice only a couple weeks out from our travel date. Just keep checking. Also when we got to POP there were racks of plain grey bands that if you didn't get to customize they would have bands there waiting for you. So even if you don't get notice you might get them at the resort. My TA didn't get the notice that we were selected to test til almost a week after we got our bands.
