More Fireworks Magic confusion/information

I know that people have been speculating about what you need to do to get additional Magic pins. From what happened to me tonight it looks like there are two different things that will get you more Fireworks magic.

Here's what happened. Played a game and came in first and got another Magic pin. Next game I didn't come in first, but I did beat 240K and got another pin. Unless this was just a fluke it looks like you can get the pin from additional first place wins and also by scoring more then 240K multiple times. LOL

I might add that who knows if a change was made to that today along with the credit, so it may be new or just vmk trying to keep us confused.

Okay, so I know we don't get the fireworks magic pin after every game of getting over 240,000 of either in first or below...so...does anyonw know how many games it takes to achieve the pin!? (staying true to getting over 240,000)

I too would like to know what it takes to get additional pins. I have only ever gotten one. I play alot and can consistently get above 240,000 sometimes over 250,000 and once or twice over 260,000. I am always in first, second or third place. I have been hoping for a second pin everytime I do better than the last but sadly I never get one. I have even taken the one I have off and just left it in inventory while playing hoping that might make a difference. LOL Oh well even if I never find the answer to winning additional pins I know I will just keep playing because .... well ... it is a fun game to play and additive when you always try to beat your previous score.

Not sure how they figure it out either. I have received about 5 pins total on my character and I don't know why I receive when I receive. I guess the next time I get one, I will have to keep track on how many games that I play until I get the next one.

I think it is something like jury duty... you know you can go forever and never have to show up for jury duty or you get those little summons like every other month (anyone else ever have you boss council you about excessive absences for jury duty and never have served on a jury lol?)

I get the pins often and at one time I thought it was 10 wins (first place) and then I thought it was like 20 games with scores over 240 and finishing 1st-5th... but to be honest I really have no idea lol

My husband who plays often (not as much as I do) rarely gets the extras- I think since they started giving them he has gotten 2-3 to my 15-20.

To add to the confusion:

I just played about 5 or 6 games this morning. I was top player in about 3 of them, I just finished and won the last game I played and got:

cruiselinefan, you were AGAIN the best player in Fireworks! Here's 500 credits, Fireworks magic.

I will start keeping track from this point on.

I did not realize I was getting it for being first place.

I've been keeping a log of games I've played since winning another pin on 3/7 to see if I could figure out some pattern. I'll post the results when/if I win another pin.

Well, it only took one more game. The last pin came exactly 20 games after the one before. I had 6 1st place, 7 2nd place over 240,000, 1 2nd place over 200,000, 1 3rd place over 240,000, 2 3rd place over 200,000, 2 4th place over 240,000, and 1 5th place over 200,000.....can anyone figure out a pattern to that? Maybe it's a certain amount of games in which you get to level 5?

I have won extra fireworks for coming in first again, and for earning 240,000+ points (no win) again. The last extra fireworks I won was tonight for 240,000+ (no win). I'm trying very hard to not win, and earn just the 240,000+ credits. Will let you all know how many games it takes to get another pin. Curious minds....!

I don't really remember. I'm sure it was over 240,000 but not sure if it was first or second place. This is the 9th or 10th additional pin for me and I wasn't keeping track on the others. I'm going to continue to keep a record and see what happens.

Yup, I have won both ways. But I do *not* know how many wins or how many times beating 240K it takes to get another pin.

Edit: Oh, and one time I got a pin for beating 240K, but I was in 5th place!

wow i cant even get 200,000! i thought all you needed to do was hit 200,000 i guess ill never get that pin...

Not to add to the confusion but from what I remember playing fireworks this is how it went for me. The very first time at getting fireworks, it only takes one time to score over 240,000 and come in 2nd-5th place.

Thereafter, you must score 20 games over 240,000 and come in 2nd-5th place to receive the additional pins.

Since the new changes, I have yet to receive a new pin but then again I haven't been playing much. I tend to try and NOT get first place because when you reach over 240,000 and come in 2nd-5th place; you seem to get more credits then you do if you get first place.

To get another Magic pin you have to win until you get the message "Congratulations *Put name here* you were AGAIN the best player in fireworks"
Then you get one pin

Certainly not me, but Hobosrock beats 240K a lot and he doesn't get a pin everytime. Maybe it's random?

I haven't even ever got past 235,000, so all this magic pin talk is no relevance to me .
