Chase is changing the rules on "cash-like" transactions made with their credit cards, which include some "Disney credit cards."
If you "charge" lottery tickets, gift cards, gambling chips, and similar items, or you use certain bill paying services (Checkfree? Venmo? Gofundme? ) to pay utility bills, the transaction will be treated as a "cash advance" as opposed to a "purchase."
This means you pay a transaction fee (varies with the bank issuing your card) and you might not get points or cash back or other rewards.
I have not yet figured out what happens when you buy something on eBay and use Paypal to pay for that purchase.
(There are a few long standing rules that some stores have that don't let you use a credit card for buying some items.)
