More FD PIN codes to be mailed out in the next few days...

Hubby called this afternoon to check for FD PIN codes (no such luck ). CM told him not to give up hope that a new PIN code mailing would be going out within the next few days. Just another CM rumor maybe....but maybe there is still hope for those of us with no PIN code! I will be waiting with fingers crossed....

I had heard that, too - from another poster in a different thread. She said that a castmember told her yesterday that a snail mail PIN will be sent out within the next three days. Let's hope that these rumors are true!!

How do you get these pins? I've seen so many posts about them, but can't seem to find where to get them or what number to call. I'm not planning on going till February 2014, so I'm assuming any code I got now would not be good then?

It's totally random. They send them out in waves to some lucky ducks.

Does signing up for anything increase the odds of getting a code? I've read that once the code goes around to VISA cardholders and others, it's usually goes public.

The public free dining discount has been made available to Disney Visa users a few days before it goes public. The pin codes that are sent to people can be sent to anyone. Just make sure you have registered on the website so they have your email and home address.

Yup, that's what I was told! Good to hear someone else heard the same thing!

I got one.....of course it ends the day before we arrive and starts the day after we leave....Hmmmmm.....do you think Disney knew when I was coming and just laughed at me because I couldn't use it?

Can you try to arrive one day early to take advantage of the fd. This way you will get it for your whole vacation.

I am really hoping for some Pixie Dust in my mailbox this week. Hoping for the best, expecting the worst. haha

Is it wrong for me to be secretly hoping that the vast majority of the folks that actually DO get that FD PIN code won't be able to use it?? My thinking is the fewer PIN codes that are used, the more likely they will release it to the general public. I have a feeling a general public code will be my only hope!

My dad got one in the mail on Saturday and we were able to apply it to his reservation and ours (we had linked reservations). There is HOPE! We leave Sept. 27 so the public FD did not work for us.

And for those that say Free Dining isn't really "free"...the amount due for my parents trip went down $1025.00 and the amount due on my trip went down $1125.00! (We have a 7 year old with us). Woo hoo!

4 hours after this post, I checked my mailbox and guess what??? I got a PIN!!! Unfortunately, it does me no good My trip is in February... Hoping there will be more PINS in the beginning of 2014 that fall within my dates.

I received a free dining PIN today in the mail for the following dates (book by 8/14/2013)

Arrivals most nights:

8/25/-10/2
10/18-10/31
11/11-11/23
11/30-12/4
12/15-12/22

Maybe a long weekend wouldn't be that far fetched? Hmmmmm....

I wasn't planning to go until 2014

I got the free dining pin today!!! My first one.

And, thanks to the DIS I CAN'T use it!!!

It is on here I learned of the then pending ticket price increase and bought our tickets last week.

I know we could save the tickets we just got for a future trip, but that's a lot of money to have tied up for 1-2 years.

And, with buying the tickets, we reserved our time share.

Why couldn't we get the first round of them a few weeks ago!!!

I have to wonder why people say that. My trip went down over $1800! How isn't fd free? I was going even if I didn't get this pin but now I'm paying much less. Seems pretty free to me!
