More fastpass tickets on ebay

I am not interested in buying those...but just curious what's wrong with the auction? Are those "fake"? What is a "re-entry" pass anyway?

Sorry to be ignorant - NOT defending the auction at all...just curious about it.

Thanks.

A rider switch pass is a pass given out to parents with young children who don't wish to experience a ride/attraction, so that the 2nd parent doesn't have to stand in line all over again.

These tickets all state on the back that they are "non-transferable" and "not for sale".

The person who obtained these did so either as a CM stealing them to sell them on ebay or by obtaining them from a CM under false pretenses. In other words, they told the CM they were going to use it when they only had an intention of getting it for their own monetary gain.

In the auction description the seller says they are actually selling a pin and the tickets are a "bonus". In one they are selling a single Space mountain ticket but you are bidding on a plain white envelope...for $25.

And it looks like other Ebayers are buying it...when you can get Fastpasses for free. :sad2:

That's their way of saying "it's illegal but we'll do it anyway."

My sister in law is an e-bay junkie...and she bought some park hoppers last year...knowing she was taking a chance.

the tickets were fine..they worked and all...but they were employee "comp" passes. So some employee or some vip got ahold of free passes, then turned around and sold them.

I dont trust ebay for a second. I stay away.

You'd think Disney's army of lawbots would be monitoring eBay auctions, and leaning hard on eBay to block these types. At least sending out cease & desist letters.

It still surprises me that some people are unaware that FPs are free. :confused3 Guess, or at least I would hope all those buying them are first time visitors of DW.

Wow ~ you really can buy anything on ebay. I cannot believe it is legal to sell these and I definately do not understand anyone purchasing these!

Some people think they can get around the law that way. But... the authorities aren't stupid. They can figure out and prove that what the seller was indeed actually selling the thing not transferable. That being said, the law isn't the same in all states. Florida may enforce these things, but other states may not. If it's a cm who is the ultimate source, they'll be caught soon enough and fired.

Absolutely Incredible - What are people thinking? Or are they just not thinking!

In general, or regarding Disney tix?

I have found eBay to be a remarkable shopping tool.

I agree to an extent. The problem I have with ebay is that they seem to allow any type of sale, even if it's illegal or against a company's policy. They need to be much more vigilant about many sellers.

If we have ever had extra of these or any FASTPASSES left over we always find a family with some kids and give them to them on our way out of the park. What is it with people:confused3

These aren't extras or leftovers. They are either stolen or were given out under false pretenses. This seller has had numerous auctions selling literally, hundreds of these. If you notice, this auction itself is for 21 passes. However, he has 4 auctions available, meaning he has 84 passes. That's just this one auction. he has other auctions for fastpasses on ebay as well.

Now this one is over the line. I reported them to ebay. I was nice enough to tell them I did it though.

Look a little further - This guy has sold this pass 3 times in the last 60 days. How can Disney turn a deaf ear to this?
