We leave in 5 days and I think I am more excited than my 2 boys. My 10yo ds is ready to go but he has been 4 times and knows what it is going to be like.My 2yo ds will be going for the first time and doesn't know what he is about to see.Just wanted to know if anyone else gets more excited than their kids? :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I know exactly what you mean. I'm the same way as you. It's usually all the planning that pumps me up for going. Once you get there the kids will be excited.

Dh and I are usually more excited than our kids are (they're almost 3 and almost 5), lol! That's fine with us, though. We go frequently - my DD has been 6 times and my DS has been 5 times. We drive down from Mass, and whenever we get in the car to go for a ride my DD will ask "is it as far as Disney, mamma? Cuz that's just sooooo far" :rotfl2:

No matter WHO I'm with I'm always the most excited one in the group. Like most others here, I'm a Disney junkie and Disney just amazes me. I can literally feel my adrenaline going up as I talk about it. Our last day there, I always go through this Disney-detox feeling. This past time, I felt a "Disney emptiness" the first few days after being home... :rotfl:

I'm soooo pathetic.....

I will say though, that our oldest daughter caught the bug on her first trip this year and I WILL try my hardest to keep harvesting that in her!!!!!

I know what you mean, I am literally obsessed with WDW....I live on these boards and my kids are starting to think this is getting kinda weird;)

This will be their 3rd trip so they are a little less excited than the first time. They know which rides they want to do and the ones they will pass up. they also know to expect MAJOR heat this summer. The 1st time we went we had a little problem dealing with this, but with this being their 3rd time they are getting used to it.

My kids love going to WDW and start anticipating the trip when the suitcases come out and we start packing.

I am 88 days away and my DH told me to relax and stop pre-planning. He says we have been there enough to know what we want to do and what not want to do. Okay yes he is raining on my parade. I get so excited to go. This week I am calling for our reservations at the places we want to eat at. That is important planning that he is clueless about. :earsgirl:

My kids say "are you planning Disney mommy" everytime they see me on this board. They must think it takes lots and lots of prep :rotfl:
I am excited though and finding this site has helped pass the time.

Less than a month to go, yippee!!!!!

I am waaaaaaay more excited than my kids about our 10 day trip starting Thursday. I am sure of this because I haven't told them yet!!! This has been the biggest secret ever for me. I have had this thing planned for more than a year. They have parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday after school. Teacher will present DS7 and DS11 with a certificate good for one trip to WDW beginning that night. It is amazing they haven't noticed my obsessive planning and packing over the past months, weeks, and days. WoooooWeeee!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce:  :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I booked a trip for this Dec for DW,DD,myself and my son and grandson which I haven t seen for 5 years.I called my son and told him about the trip and he was excited and when I talked to Grandson he was pretty fired up but no backflips. Now the trip isn t until Dec but of course I have already started planning as all good fananics do.I talked to my grandson and he wanted to know how long it would be until we get to see Men in Black and Spiderman arrgh.

I remember being told to calm down, 'cause I was the most excited when we went to Disney. I think it's just so exciting to go, 'cause it's magical. princess:

OMG! I think something is wrong with me! WDW is all I think about! DS10 and DS5 do not talk about it at all and I am constantly checking the countdown!

We leave Saturday and it is all I can think about. I go to bed with Disney on my mind. My dw thinks I am crazy. I am constantly on the boards and wonder if anyone else is the same way. I have been to Disney 12 times so it is not something new. This will be my 2yo ds first time and I can't wait to see his excitement. We watch the planning dvd 2-3 times a day all he has to say is mouse and we are watching it again.

I know how u feel. I felt the same way my first time and the second time I went. I would schedule my trip a month in advance and I hardly got any sleep for the nesxt 30 days. Thats all i could think about. LOL

Have a wonderful time!
