Oh, that one, They lost a bunch of credibility with me when they allowed this review to say "deciminated" (instead of disseminated). (Sorry, some spelling errors just can't be ignored, and this one burned holes in my eyes this morning that still haven't stopped hurting.)

They've also spoken too soon and had misses. I think I'll reserve my excitement on an exact opening date.

They do have a decent track record. But some of their "highly bowed to" posters have had some big misses too.

Disney has gone so rogue and changed their plans on so many things and dates the last couple years ..... I feel like no one knows until something is up and operating (like ROL). And if someone truly truly knew .... they wouldn't be talking.

Many have inside info, have learned things in advance, seen things in 3D ..... but even the inside folks see how Disney changes their mind and shifts gears midstream ...... and bloggers turn conjecture into fact.

.... so If someone pipes up THEY KNOW FOR SURE, I and go to the southern saying "Bless their Heart."

But on a discussion board we can talk all things rumor, conjecture, dreams, disappointments, bloggers, vloggers, twitters and even "facts" with the understanding only the past is for sure.

EDIT: My interpretation for rogue is more tongue in cheek "an elephant or other large wild animal driven away or living apart from the herd" ........ going off course or as planned/expected.

I've heard Oct. 2nd for about two or three weeks now. As muppets opens Woody, Jessie and Rafiki will leave MK to make budget room for the muppets.

Quite true. And let's not forget the history of ROL. They were really close to launching this show in April. It was only a last minute technical glitch that delayed it. Fixing that glitch has proven to be very difficult. Even WDW thought it was a go and had made plenty of plans to tie it in with their spring/summer programming. It wasn't just speculation that made everyone excited last spring, there were real plans in place. Stuff happens.

Could something come along and delay ROL further, certainly. But based on all available information and planning by WDW, looks like it's a go soon. Phew!

Yes I have been told lots of things I can't share. I knew that hat was leaving 3 weeks before it broke, and even with all the arguments over a long period of time, folks insisting all the things that would happen, it would be moved blah blah ........... I knew before it broke it was going to the trash. The issue is that if there is solid info, you can't share it. That is why I just go with ............. it will be nice if they are right and maybe they will be, but I would never say it's gospel.

It is really important on these forums to acknowledge that what we are sharing is not written in stone because there are lots of folks who will take it for face value, plan all around it and ........ then be upset. Even Disney changes dates/plans, when it's too late for travelers ....... and that is becoming a pattern.

You don't have to look any further than ROL to know that .............. stuff happens.
Don't plan around things.
Don't listen to projections or promises.
Be prepared to enjoy only what exists now.

I never said they haven't had wrong info.

The hat had been rumored to go away for years so that wasn't really unexpected.

Of course nothing is written in stone but people can listen to projections if they want, I do. Look I follow rumors and write about them everyday I think I know what to believe and not to believe.
