More DDP Questions...

I am sorry I am sure these questions have been asked and answered a million times - but I just can not seem to find the answers. Perhaps some of you can help?

From what I got off of All Ears I was under the impression that all character dining was two TS credits - from what I am reading here and now I don't think this is the case?

Also from All Ears I was informed that two CS credits could be traded for one TS, this also seems to be inaccurate?

Long before I got involved with the DDP I made reservations for the Luau and Hoop De Due (Category 1 Seating). When I called to ask about the DDP I was told there would be no problem when I showed up just to inform them that I am now on the DDP and my credit card would be refunded and TS credits used instead. The CM never asked me what category my ADR's were and I never thought to mention. After reading the rules I called and asked to be switched to Category 2 or 3 seating for both shows but was told that there were no longer any openings available. What do I do? Is there anyway to keep the ADR's yet still use the DDP?

This may sound odd... but is there anyway unused CS credits can be traded for Snack credits? We come in very late at night and leave very early and no matter what I do (especially with the two dinner shows above) there is just no way for me to use all the credits. I would rather get extra snack items which I know I will be buying anyway.

Thank you so much in advance for your help.... this whole DDp plan sure does get a little confusing. I probably went wrong in trusting All Ears for all of my info... but they came so very highly recommended!

CRT are the only Hoop Dee Doo review character meals that are 2 TS.

With this I believe you have to get the refund now I could be wrong but when we did CRT they gave us the refund prior to our trip. The Luau and HDDR are 2 TS no matter what seating you get.

Where? I hadn't heard that we used it for category 1 seating in Dec. 06.

I first heard about it when I called for information but I have seen it many places since. You can find it on Page 2 of the Disney Dining Plan brochure under the heading Dinner Shows. I wu=ish I knew how to provide you a link but I am not sure how. I was able to pull it up easily right here on the boards - if you can't find it let me know and I will try to figure out exactly how to get to it and give you directions!

As others have indicated, only Cinderella's Royal Table (and signature restaurants, and the dinner shows) are 2TS.

During August and September, you were able to convert a TS credit into one CS credit, two snacks, and a lanyard. That offer has ended. (You may find some hotel front desks willing to conver TS into CS, on a one-for-one basis, towards then end of your trip, with the understanding that there is no way to convert them back. However, note that that's not a good exchange, from your standpoint.)

There was never an offer to convert 2CS into 1TS or 1TS into 2CS.

Is there anyway to keep the ADR's yet still use the DDP?

Probably not, but it cannot hurt to ask again when you get there, if you're willing to take the risk that you may have to pay in cash. Personally, I'd take the refund and find another place to eat.

There is currently no way to exchange or trade anything for anything. However, some of the hotel stores accept both CS credits and Snack credits. Some of them tend to allow you to use CS credits for three snacks (instead of the normal entree, dessert, beverage).

this whole DDp plan sure does get a little confusing.

It's actually very simply, until we guests try to find ways to use it other than the way it is intended to be used.
