More Booze in the MK!

I may entertain the idea of having a dinner there in September and I most certainly would have booked a dinner there on December 30
if I would have known since we will be in the park that day. My kids are 23 and 18 and even if young, I would be happy to sit and have
a beer or glass of wine with dinner while on vacation.

MK is for everyone, not just children.

Very happy with this news.

Agreed - I don't have any problem with this. They're offering drinks with TS meals. How is that "asking for trouble?" It isn't like alcohol will be sold at stands for people to walk around with, so no one should be envisioning this turning into World Showcase during F&W.

Wonderful news. It makes me want to book a reservation at one of these restaurants on my next trip. My wife and I like to split a bottle of wine with dinner, so this gives us the freedom to do that at MK. I am happy this is just in the restaurants, and not adding beer carts, because that is what leads to drunkenness in the parks, in my opinion. Only beer and wine is also a great strategy as usually the debauchery is driven by hard liquor (Not always). Great news for my family.

Good news, but we are cocktail guys so we'll be REALLY happy when that policy changes.

Oh great, now the EPCOT drunks can cause a seen in front of the castle. I'm really sad about this.

Just because they offer drinks doesn't mean people will get drunk. If they were going to get drunk and go to a park, they were going to do it anyway. You can buy many drinks just outside of the Magic Kingdom at any of the various bars around the monorail.

Not totally against this, but I hope it doesn't lead to general alcohol availability in Magic Kingdom like at the other parks. Plus if the new restaurants enforce the same drink rules as Be Our Guests, it would be very hard to get drunk in the Kingdom unless you are a light-weight.

I really think it is inevitable.

Disney says they are expanding alcohol from BOG to the other Restaurants because of a huge demand from Guests.

I would expect in a few years,Disney will say due to a huge demand by our Guests to be able to enjoy an alcoholic beverage while touring the Park,we will begin offering a few premium beers, etc. at select kiosks in Magic Kingdom for our Guests' enjoyment,etc,.etc.

JMHO(A LOT of money to be made).:)

I'm in my mid 20's so I definitely enjoy my beverages on vacation. As long as they aren't serving the in Kiosks every 10 feet I think this is okay. I just hope it doesn't turn into a place where people are walking around with drinks in hand because that would be too much. But honestly a glass of wine or two with dinner is fine I'm not sure why so many people are commenting about how bad it is and that drunks are going to be running around. I'm assuming it's going to be like BOG where you have a 2 drink maximum and no one is going to be wasted after 2 drinks.

Epcot drunks could always be seen in front of the castle all they had to do was drink at Epcot and hop over to MK...

Yeah but that requires a certain amount of sobriety to navigate the transportation system (Or drive - :scared:) and get past security check-in. :)

NYE will take on a whole new life and think about what they can upcharge for the Wishes Dessert Party now?

Next up will be selling beer at Casey's... who doesn't want a beer with their hot dog?

Or bring their own and drink on the way to the park. Lifting from Easy WDW:

And one of my favorite stories of all time was watching a dad chug a Bug Light going over to Magic Kingdom on the ferry boat at 7:45am. Dude knew what he was up against and he was taking proactive measures. You have to respect that.
