Well, we had a good first day together. Got to school to pick them up with no trouble, got home, they had a snack, then Sammie went off to her soccer game. Dana & I watched Harry Potter 2. Sammie got back at 7:30, we had our dinner of mac & cheese, then we watched the end of the movie. Got them in bed by 9:30, tomorrow we start over......

Good morning....I'm just about to go upstairs & wake up the girls. Gotta feed them, then walk them to school. So I'll see you later!

We had a very successful morning--girls got themselves up, brushed their teeth & got dressed in record time. Ate breakfast, I made them sandwiches for lunch, walked to school. But they made me say good bye before they got to the entrance, and I had to ask for a hug! Oh well, I guess I know how moms feel when their kids are growing up.

It's been raining all day & I wasn't looking forward to walking to school to pick the girls up......but I didn't have to! Christine, their regular babysitter called to ask me if I wanted her to pick up the girls, and of course I said yes. They were thrilled to see her too. Then when Sammie got home, she checked the email, and the soccer game for tonight has been cancelled. So we are going to make our pizza, then watch movies & have a sleep over. Hopefully, the weather will be better tomorrow!

The sun is shining! The girls have soccer & softball today, then we will have the rest of the weekend for fun.

Well, the weekend is almost over. We just had dinner at the Chinese restaurant, we packed up the car, and the girls are having a snack before we leave. Their parents' plane is in the air!

Yeah, I survived! At one point, I was ready to send them to Jamaica (they couldn't agree on what movie to watch on Friday night), but they finally settled on 1. and I know that I was doing things right. I was making them pick up their books, sports equipment, jackets, etc. and Sammie said to me "you sound just like mom--and maybe worse!" (she's a better housekeeper than I am) I didn't want them to come home to a messy house. I had a great time with the girls, they mean the world to me, and it is great to be able to create special memories with them.

You guys are always so sweet to me--I just feel like I'm doing stuff that aunts do for their nieces & nephews, nothing special.
