How are you Denise ? that's awesome you got to have Olivia to yourself !!

It was awesome. I held her and fed her. I rocked her and cuddled her and sniffed her head.

I'm doing okay but having a tough time with my mom. I have one nerve left and she is swinging from it. I've been praying for patience and popping xanax.
(Sounds mighty selfish, huh?) For the first time in over 20 years, I laid in bed last night and thought about my sister who lives 5 minutes away and hasn't seen, talked to, inquired about, or given a crap about my mom in probably 30 years. I was so pissed off at her at I was awake until 1:30 in the morning. She's just over there, living her life.

Sorry, every now and then, I get like this. I think I need some sort of support group for caregivers of the elderly. Wonder if there's anything like that.

So I'm guessing you won't be too quick to ask me how I'm doing again, will you? That'll teach ya.

You guys must be getting so excited about your trip! Joe and I are going on a Disney cruise in February and we are looking at maybe going to Disney World the week before. We also qualified for the bounce back offer with our cruise, so we can take a 3 day one later in the year for $99 a piece. Cool huh? Maybe I'll leave him home with my mom and make it a girls only cruise.

Anyway, sorry again, but it felt good to vent. Hope everything is okay with all of you. Can you believe Thanksgiving is a little over two weeks away and Christmas is right behind it?

I'm glad you had some real quality time with Olivia. Moments to be cherished for sure.

I'm sorry about the issues with your mom and sister. That's not fair at all. I don't know all the details, but it speaks volumes about the kind of person you are, versus the sort of person your sister is.
And I know you were kidding, but you probably could benefit from a support group! LOL Seriously, caring for parents is hard and I'm sure there are many others who feel the same. You just have to vent now and then or you will go nuts so don't be sorry.

I'm glad you have your cruise to look forward to. It sounds like you will be ready for that break especially after the holidays, which as you said are right around the corner. Hard to believe. This year seemed to fly by! But how exciting to be celebrating Olivia's first Christmas. I hope we'll get to see her in a cute baby Santa suit.

Denise, If you find a support group, can I join ??????? we moved my MIL in a year ago and believe me, I know how challenging it is !!! there are days I want to shoot myself, or her and I know what you mean about the selfish siblings just going about their lives, it sucks and it's not fair to us
