For all of you disappointed in the offering after Starbucks was added, does this help ease the pain at all?http://www.starbucks.com/promo/laboulange

Word is that they are adding these treats to both the Main Street Bakery and Fountain View Cafe. I've never had them, are they any good? I'm thinking the flourless chocolate cookie looks pretty tasty!

All treats can be good, if they make your tastebuds dance. But for me, I'll get my treat fix at Les Halles.

Maybe I'm old school, but I wish they would have kept it the same and just added Starbuck's coffee instead of changing it to a Starbuck's, etc.

The things sold at Starbucks are good...especially the croissants, both plain and chocolate!!!

Until they bring about more allergy-friendly (gluten free /dairy free /egg free) options, I'll pass on treats from Starbucks. I do like their iced teas, though.

Our Starbucks here in ks doesn't have la Boulange stuff yet (moved here from the west coast last year where we did have it, and loved it), so it will be nice to go eat it again. The tomato and cheese square is sooooo good!

Where is this word coming from?

Since we've had Boulange for at least a year (I think more, though), and they are just now starting to add back some of the old stuff (guess people really wanted their 500 kcal loaves of banana bread), I'm just not sure this word can be trusted.

OK so I LOVE the Boulange stuff.

BUT it's smaller than what people are used to. Peoples' eyes get all bothered by the illusion of getting less. The thing is, it's better. Better ingredients (fewer ingredients), better tasting. So much more worth it (says the person who has gone to Starbucks after her WW weigh-in nearly every week for over 2 years, and managed to lose 84ish pounds while doing so and indulging often).

But some people have different tastebuds, and, again, the illusion of getting less is really powerful.

Their chocolate croissants are just to die for, IMO...

Lovely thing for dietary issues/choices is that Starbucks is so EASY! Even if you can't eat there, at least you know it. You can look up ingredients on the website before you step foot in the place. With Disney establishments you have to go in, wait in line, and request the book before knowing if you can eat there.

Nope!!!!!! All starbucks baked goods taste the same......I can literally taste the essence of their over roasted coffee in all of their baked goods. I go there only for the drinks..... those are enough calories for the entire day!!!!! Starbucks baked goods are just not good enough for all those calories. Happy for everyone else though. :thumbsup2

I hope they're just adding and not replacing like our local Starbucks did. The new stuff is much smaller and not as good. My kids used to be able to easily split a croissant, not so much anymore.

Oh and they got rid of our favorite iced lemon pound cake!!:sad2:

Anything is better than the wdw baked items this trip. Churros, kringlas, pretzels in Germany were all stale last trip. It was heartbreaking.

La Boulange is owned by Starbucks now, so it shouldn't be much of a surprise that they want to sell more of those goods at the parks.

A few of their things are good. The slow-roasted Ham & Swiss croissant is delicious.

Starbucks makes good scones. As long as they continue to offer those, I'm good.

With that many options, this looks like replacements. No way they can add 20+ more treats to what they already have. It says they've partnered with La Boulange so I'm assuming that means these new treats will replace what's there now.

But nonetheless, until they have a gluten free option (don't know what's in the flourless cookie) it doesn't matter to me. :(

ETA... Looks like that cookie doesn't contain wheat, although they don't advertise it as GF. Looks promising.

I agree I like the little vanilla ones. I've never mastered scone making so I am a sucker for a decent one.

Our starbucks is sells the Boulange items and they don't have the vanilla scones or the cinnamon scones anymore.:headache: I don't go to Starbucks nearly as often as I used to. If they still sell the vanilla scones at WDW my son will be ecstatic. They were one of his favorite things.

oh....you are just mean.

Agreed! My DD and I are GF and Starbucks no longer has a GF treat. So sad.
