More bad adult behavior

Our family is here at WDW now and I saw a post about bad adult behavior and I would like to add what I've seen here in my two weeks. Other than the parent yelling at their children, I have saw 2 incidents, the first a middle aged woman relieving herself in front of DHS near the busses, right through her pants leaving a puddle , in plain site while her friend was running away laughing. This happened around 2pm. The other happened when we were getting our bags inspected going into DHS . A woman with her small child told an inspector there as a note from Al Queda in her bag. The inspector said "What!!!!!" and the woman said, "Just kidding". Unbelievable! !!!

The woman joking about the Al-Qaeda note had better not try that at the airport. She definitely won't be laughing then. She's lucky the guard checking her bag wasn't more hard-nosed. He could definitely have stopped her from entering the park if he'd wanted to, and/or had her detained. That was really, really stupid of her.

Sorry. I can't consider any of these incidents bad "adult" behavior.

I don't know what to call it. But, I do agree that these are just plain wrong.

Well, it's bad behavior from people who are supposed to know better....so...yeah..... *faceapalm*

Ok the "adult" who made the Al Queda joke. I just don't know that I have words for that. That's beyond disrespectful. And is that somehow a dig at Disney performing security checks? If so, she deserved to be ejected from the parks immediately. Someone who takes security so lightly...it just boggles my mind.

The first story is downright sad - the person may have a physical issue - or was drunk??
The second story shows how stupid some people really are. Great to know that children are actually being raised by dopes such as this

Our trip in October we saw more Adult meltdowns then we did Children. Adults yelling at busses going by becuase "THATS THE 14TH ALL STAR BUS WEVE SEEN!!!" My wife and I had some serious chuckles on that trip.

I've been in that situation before and it is frustrating. I can understand grumbling and not being happy about it. But yelling at the busses just makes everybody uncomfortable and isn't cool.
And that's why I want to rent a car next trip.

Our bizarre bad behavior took place last June. We were watching the parade and fireworks from the main street train platform.
During the parade a family of about 6 adults and 5-6 kids were trying to "push through" the crowds to get to the railing. One of the "adults" took 2 of the young children and had them stand on top of these marble topped tables that are on the platform. No one came by, no one stopped him. No security. The "Dad" then went back to watching the parade. One of the girls sat down on the table and slid off the table. The table tipped over, the one girl still standing on the table fell, and the marble table landed on the arm of the first girl. She started SCREAMING. You could easily see this kids arm was badly broken. The "Dad" came over and tried to quiet her down, and said....."After the fireworks we'll leave"
I won't go into detail, but this kids arm was hanging at a very unnatural angle.
Finally, "Mom" came up and told the kid to "SHUT UP"
Mom of the year. I went down stairs and found a CM who very nicely came up and escorted the family away.......Protesting all the way!

Holy cow! Yes, I'd say this qualifies as "bad adult behavior." Poor kid.

Hmm... That's not just "bad adult behaviour", it's akin to child abuse. If you see your child is in need of medical attention and you just ignore it, it's child abuse.

It is possible that the woman had some sort of incontinence trouble that she's just beginning to deal with.

The other may have been making a joke. It wasn't funny, but it is possible they were attempting humor. It is good that the staff person didn't wig out and over-react and I commend him/her for acting sensibly. Additional stupidity would not have improved the situation.

Yikes. Seriously some people scare me. I'm glad you went and found the CM.

There is "NO" such thing as "Just Kidding" when it comes to this....as a retired military soldier, and seeing what can happen when it comes to these scum [Al Queda] I am sorry, she would have not been allowed entry! no excuses, no jokes when it comes to that!

Sometimes I think we get caught up and forget what's really important. I hope that that was the case with this family. We didn't stick around. We went downstairs and got a CM and then we stayed downstairs. I felt ill ....I really did. We did see them a few minutes later. They were being "helped" by 2-3 gentlemen and the CM we had spoken to earlier.
The point is though.....all of us need to be more vigilant when we're at the parks. I always feel like I'm in some special "magical place where nothing bad happens" We all have to be more careful. Maybe we have to help others to be see that even in the MK bad things can happen.

Usually it's the parents who need a time out, not the kids. When I see bad behavior, I always attribute it to parents either not paying attention to disruptive behavior of the kids, or kids who are upset because the parents are yelling at them.

In the first scenario, I've seen kids who were never taught how to behave in restaurants. While I don't mind an occasional outburst of noise from kids, I do get upset when parents allow the kids to run around the restaurant, interfering with the safety of the servers and annoying other guests trying to eat.

In the second scenario, I wanted to pop the mother of a young teen boy who was absolutely terrified with the prospect of riding Tower of Terror. She ridiculed him for being childish and a "baby". No parent should force a child to do a thrill ride if they are not comfortable with it. I really felt for the poor kid.
