More add-on questions

When you buy an add on, it is the same use year as your original contract. I don't exatly understand how this works for SSR. I have a Dec use year, are they selling Dec use years right now? If not, how does that work?? There is probably a really simple answer to this and I am just not seeing it.

Also, do they do another credit inquiry when you do a financed add-on?

Hi, if you buy an add on from Disney, you will get the same use year as you have, December. If you buy resale on the open market, you can buy any use year that you will. Someone here suggests that you think of use year as the birthday of your points, instead of getting older, you get another batch of points. Use year affects the banking dates. The time of the year that you are buying add ons does not affect use year.

We have March use year, we have done an add on from Disney and have the same use year. We are looking to buy a resale on the market and we also chose to go with a March use year, because I think it's easier to keep track of points when they all have the same dates. However, there are others who manage just fine with different use years.

PS. You need to buy at least 50 points to finance the add on with Disney. I don't know about the credit check.

Just wanted to mention, that when the start selling a use year, that don't sell that use year until they completely run out of every single point. They save some points for add-ons and move on to the next use year.

This is where I am getting confused. Since there are only a couple of buildings they are selling, what happens if they are not selling your use year. I know for the completed resorts, you would have to wait until a contract becomes available, I just don't know how this impacts SSR.
