Anyone know what was going on this morning? The park has been a mess. Delayed opening, Main St closed all the way back to the castle while the scrub mopped all the way back through frontier land with Dawn. It’s just finally reopening. We had to go on a goose chase to get to our boarding group time at HMH

I read 2 reports; one, that it was hydraulic fluid, and the other, that it was oil. Either way, it was spilled from a large vehicle that was driven through the park leaking some kind of questionable fluid.

This is the first answer I read:

"Disney construction worker here! I can confirm is was one of the general constructors mobile lift that was leaking hydraulic fluid. Our safety protocols is to have a spotter follow any drivable equipment so that no one gets accidentally run over or injured. The spotter would have noticed the leak and told the driver to stop.

In this case there was no spotter so the driver didn’t notice the leak and drove across the park. Dude is definitely getting fired! Hope this helps and sorry for those that got caught in this."

Yikes.

I am curious where you saw this. The "Dude is definitely getting fired" makes me question the "Disney construction worker."

I was thinking the same thing.

I saw on social media that they had to take down some of the Halloween decorations. What caught my attention was one CM in red was directing guests to avoid the area and an additional six people were gathered around the pole to take down the decorations.

I googled it and it was on a site I can't link here, but if you google the quote it will come up. The initials of the site name is ITM. There is no way to validate the person's claim, but it seems to be pretty well known now what happened.

My question was that according to the quote, there is supposed to be a spotter following the equipment to make sure no one gets run over. How can they tell someone is going to get run over if the spotter is behind the vehicle?
