Last edited by Minnie_Moo : Today at 08:21 PM. Reason: Poor hubby, Marita!

On the positive side, he is having a LONG vacation without chores!

For some reason Marita I never pictured your house as needing a riding lawn mower. Don't know why that is.

Maybe because you always talk about the inside. Do you have a pool?

Nab, my house does NOT need a riding lawn mower.

Except for the fact that hubby is spoiled from work! Wahatever, as long as he cuts the lawm (which he cant right now)

And no, I do not have a pool.

I must be crazy, Hannah asked if she could have a sleepover tonight. I thought she meant she was going over there.

Surprise! The sleepover is here.

They are watching a movie now when they should be in bed. Don't they know we have an early morning.

A hot tub that you can keep on a coolish setting during warm months is a goog stress reliever!!!

In fact, I am feeling the need for "Dr. Waters" tonight.

Nab, that sleepover trick was kinda sneaky of Hannah :rolleyes1

I am back from San Antonio. Fun was had by all.

I am not caught up.

Did I miss anything?

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to pop in and say hi. It's been a rough week here and I haven't been on the Dis too much.

Hope you all are doing well and have a great weekend!

Betsy

Hi, Betsy, missed seeing you around! Been a crazy week for me too.

Hi Marita!

I haven't had a chance to read up on the earlier posts yet. I hope your DH is doing ok.

I'm heading off to bed now. Hope you get some R&R! Sorry DVC is a pain in your batooskie! ;) DVC drives my DH crazy too but for different reasons :)

So, Marita, hows the weather down there. I hear y'all are going to get some rain - could you send it up into Georgia when you're done?

Blessings!
MarkyMark

Hey Mark!

Yes, we are supposed to get rain tomorrow, finally (and I don't have to drive in it). THe drought killed my hanging flower basket, which was so pretty, since hubby broke his foot and couldnt water it anymore. Besides all the wildfires of course. I will be happy to send you the rain, can you wait till Monday though? We need it till then.

Just as long as it stops in Georgia. I have a yard sale tomorrow.

It can rain on Sunday.

Sorry to hear about your rough week Betsy.

I am off to bed, I should be able to sleep in on a Saturday but my sale starts at 9:00 that means people will be circleling at 8:00 before I have everything out.

Night all.

Oh and one more. I heard a girl at the fair calling another one this past fall. The call went like this...

"Fabreezia! Fabreezia, come here!"

MarkyMark

Hey! It's really nice to have y'all come and see us! Welcome!!!!

So, Jordan actually made it through his graduation. During the Pomp and Circumstance as my baby walked down the isle, I found myself remembering his very first steps 17 years ago. On his wobbly legs he'd fall and I would catch him. Then when he was learning to ride a bike, I'd catch him and sometimes need to bandage his boo-boos. I fast-forwarded through all his milestones and how needed I've always been. But, he's grown up now! Five minutes ago he was catching polly-wogs in the canal. Now his adult life is so hopeful ahead of him. I just was so proud of him! He used to REALLY struggle in school, especially reading (Until Harry Potter) and there he was with his honours ribbon and metal around his neck!!!!

At one quiet (boring) moment during the speech part of the ceremony, he made eye contact with me and winked! I was already teary and full of love for him and then he signed "I Love You" (sign language). I truly could have burst!

Now he's spending some quality time with his dad and step mama at their hotel pool.

He did like his V-tech laptop (that's what I told him it was!) and got lots of money, which he's saving for a new car. His LeBaron is DED!

It was a nice BBQ! Thanks Sponge-Misty for coming!!!!!!! It meant a lot!

Jamal!!!! That is one COOL roller coaster! We have an amusement park here in Utah called Lagoon. It's kind of carnival-ish though. There's a wood roller coaster there that is similar to the one you posted. Lagoon has a water park that is pretty cool. It's no Blizzard Beach but it's fun! There's one water slide I call the DOUCHE for obvious reasons. I will not be going on the douche, thanks. I'll stick in the puddle pond with Norah.

Thanks for coming! I hope y'all will stay!

Hi Kimmie!!!!!!!!!!!! :maleficen Glad you are IN Orlando in your TR! I am enjoying it! Your kids are freakin' adorable!

GOOD MORNING!!!!

Moo, thanks for the great synopsis on what has been going on around here lately. Although it wasn't written for me, I really appreciated it. I just haven't felt like hanging out here or anywhere since Tornado's disappearance and injury. What a horrible week we have spent until yesterday, when things took a turn for the better. I posted an update about Tornado's condition on my TR a little while ago, so for those of you who have been following the situation and praying for him, I won't repeat the news here, you can read the update on the TR. And THANKS for your prayers and concern!!!!

Lowell and I are going to a DIS MEET today! Hurray! It will be at the Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls at 5:00 PM. I am looking forward to it. I think a sizeble group has signed up to attend.

Marita, sorry to hear that your husband is still having a tough time with his injury. Does he have you faning him with palm fronds and peeling him grapes while he rests on the sofa?

UMA, I really enjoyed your account of Jordan's graduation. That was so touching, and the part about him signing "I love you," was SO sweet. I could picture that. My sister used to be an interpreter for the deaf and guess who got to practice sign language with her.

It was nice to see an appearance from some of the "former regulars" of the preceeding M threads. I hope they will stop around again.

Everyone have a safe and happy weekend. You are all a great bunch.

morning everyone.......it is raining here.....but what else is new.......we did have two days of just dreary and not rainy.....
Our granddaughter left yesterday to converse with the Frenchmen of Canada.....she is ready to strutt her stuff.....she has listened to her grandparents relatives from France and can understand them pretty good...except when they get really going and talk to fast......The Parisian french is very very pretty. My daddy would not talk french to us as it was slang French he said and would get us confused.......Oh well....we missed out on a duo language family......ya gotta have spit to be a good French talker......

Hubby is outside in the rain planting my SPITtunias.......they are all dark purple and goes nicely with the siding.....which is a gray......
hello to those who are stopping by to visit......
Marie

Cheryl ,I totally agree with Kay ! what a great synopsis- our very own editon of spark notes!

My lawn boy needs some topsoil and is renting a rotor tiller today. I'm seeing a big ole mess in our future :rotfl: :rotfl:

On the id theft problem- seems my daughter's "clean" SS# is linked to the culprit's. It is getting more and more convulted. I sent for an earnings' report from SS for my daughter and will have to see the attorney nce again on Monday. I think this is going to take a loooong time to sort out.

Good luck on the yard sale Nab- watch those yard sale groupies- they can be pushy!

Uma- I know how you felt at graduation. Our two graduated last year and the year before. It was a real tearfest for me!
Haven't seen mommyP on the trivia board- hope she is ok!

Kay, great to you around here again, and so happy to here there is good news. I will be catching up on your trippie momentarily. And hubby does not have me peeling grapes, he is pretty undemanding really.

Uma, I can so related to the graduation feelings too. Glad the BBQ went well!

Great recap, Moo!

Welcome back Haley!

Nab, good luck with the yard sale.

Happy Saturday, everyone else!

Moo you rock!
