Okay, Marita, I'm trying to remember what all I got for the Cast Holiday Celebration. Because I would assume you got the same things. I got:
1. two 50% off sit down meal certificates
2. six free soft drinks and popcorns in the park
3. one free 5x7 photopass picture
4. 65% off hotels instead of the normal 50%
5. four free admissions to Blizzard Beach
6. four free admissions to Typhoon Lagoon
7. four free admissions to Disney Quest
8. four free admissions to Pleasure Island

Now, if I recall correctly you have until February something to use those. I used all of them except my pleasure island and disney quest ones while I was down there. So, in conclusion, now is the perfect time to be a guest/cast member at Disney World. GO!

Isn't the Cinderella step-family a fairly recent addition to the face characters at WDW??! Fortunate for Hollywood. I would think it would be nice to be able to switch off now and again.

Disney Quest: NONE
Staying on site: SLIM to NONE
POP corn and soft drinks: Only if we go to parks (maybe during Flower and Garden)
Sit down meals; I would have to discuss with DH, neither one of us wants to go there after going there all week to work.
Most likely to be used if I go out with co-workers for lunch.

Next year, let me know, I can give you most of my coupons!

I know Hollywood has only been at 1900 since about October and I think that was right when they started. She likes being Anastasia because she can be louder and even downright rude to guests which I gotta say is more in her personality.

I had never been to a waterpark before but they were so much fun!! We only went for a couple hours because I had to work, but it was free so we figured why not. I just thought of another thing that's on the Cast Holiday Celebration ticket....4 extra park admissions in addition to whatever you have on your main gate. I'm seasonal so I only have 6 on my main gate. It all expires in like mid Feb. though. While I was there I would go to the parks all morning and then work all afternoon/night!

I know you can give the free popcorn/soft drink ones to another person. The others you have to have your Cast Member ID and the Cast Holiday Celebration ticket that they mailed us though.

I will be so sick tomorrow, But I might work from the deathbed of my couch, maybe..........

PJ, hubby and I have a Silver Pass(pretty much unlimited), and I never use it, so extra admission is wasted on me too.

See, I think what the main difference is, is that DH and I drive out there day in/day out for 45 minutes each way, and really just dont feel to go back for a day.
If we took a few days vacation, maybe.......... But I think I would rather go on a cruise.

Well, I am trying really hard to talk my DD into a mother/daughter trip right after her graduation, but she's not drinking the kool-aid! My sister and her friend are probably driving down for her graduation, then maybe going down to Tampa to visit friends afterward. Soooo, I figure I can send hubby home on his own (13 hours), ride to Orlando with DD (10 hours?), and either fly home or . . . even better, my sis and her friend could join us for a couple days and I could ride home with them. It sounds like your coupons would expire before May, but maybe you could meet us for dinner or something. AND Davy Jones is going to be singing as part of the Flower Power concerts I missed seeing him when I went a couple years ago.

Actually, it will depend on my DD's job situation after she graduates. But I can dream, right?!

Marita, you deleted your comment about not traveling with your daughter!!! If I pretty much pay for everything, like when I took her to visit grad schools, I think my daughter might go! We'll see.

In July, DD was looking forward to our short family trip to the Outer Banks, then it ended up being a huge bust when we found out our beach hotel ressie was messed up the second night. So I learned an important lesson. Double and triple check all future travel arrangements! It was a big disappointment because there were NO rooms to be had, so we had to go back to the Chapel Hill area that night. We also had a bad dinner experience the first evening. She refers to that as our disastrous OBX trip. I'm hoping to redeem myself with a good vacation experience.

well,,, wt...since you brought it up....i wasn't disappointed as much as
you might think....[ you know? the only pic. of me..in my football uniform..
is in a gator...one, surprised, huh?]

* however, i am a fan ..of the college game...& all the teams...& this is
what gets me a lil' , fired up. ok?...osu..has won more national
championships...in football..than any other school..but ? second? ha!
its the gophers...but they haven't been to a champion ship game..since
the early 60's....soooooooo by my ways of thinking...any team making it
to the final.....is a great accomplishment...., sooooo for osu..to do it
2 years in a row....score? eh?

well....i don't think there were ...very much....manipulation going on this
year...mostly because..osu..wasn't a top ten team, annie was done firing
her guns....

....but if you are able to make factual observations.....is it fair....the sec/
& pac 10....get to play these games...on their home field? * let me be
clear..how big..that fctor is....if osu played lsu....10 times....in the
horseshoe....they would...win 99% of the time....no matter if lsu, being
superior in talent.



there were several home field calls...all against..osu, funny? you know?,
when the lsu defender..knocked..the ball..out of the osu receiver hands..
[was a great play]..however..he was in the end zone...by rules...that
should been called a td. the other day,i was watching a sports show..
getting all over osu....but the one guy..who knew...stopped them...*if
that punt had been blocked....osu would have rolled all over lsu. now
that was the correct call [roughing the punter]..but..how he missed the
ball...was just one of those freaky things....and like that sportscaster
noted........osu, wasn't even picked 3rd ..for the big 10...o8..should
be their year. you know they going out...to visit..usc..next sept...!

ps...our first floor..bathroom was having technical diffculties...& so i spent
most of the game....swimming... . so i would have enjoyed..just
being able to watch..esp. the band. ..maybe a cheerleader..or 2.

saw.../talk to the mother of some of the msu's band members...
you should heard her talk..about...the osu..band..coming down the ramp..
it is inspirational to all!

...moo? ...did i mentioned?...everyone..i talked..to..was excited..about
their team..and their new coach! ..you know?, the guy from
osu?

...backie..you should do a cruise.... . * as for the parks, ...while we
are not as lucky..as others , some of our best memories..are from those

Lexi...there were a couple of days that got up to 80 degrees so that's when we went. I wasn't sure about the whole waterpark thing but it was so much fun!! And there were pretty much no crowds there. We didn't wait in line for anything and we just keep going on the fun slides over and over.

Have a great day, everyone. I have to go straight from school to babysitting so I won't be home until late. I wish I could say I missed those kids I babysit for, but that would be a lie.

Pumba, we are also going to get some of that storm this weekend. Dangit! We are having a party on Saturday, so we're going to have to find lots of parking spaces for the people who'll be coming. Don't know where DH will put the snow!


Boris and Natasha went back to school today. Much to their chagrin. They were praying for more snow and thus another snow day. Ha!

Happily, I got to work this morning to discover that Crazybossman got stuck in Florida because of the snow (flight into Boston was canceled due to weather conditions...Hallelujah!), so my co-workers and I will enjoy a productive but crazy-free day. w00t!!!!!
